It made draining my pool a breeze and handled the job in record time.- High-Efficiency Motor: The motor operates quietly and efficiently, providing a great balance between power and energy consumption. I appreciate how well it performs without being overly loud.- Durable Construction: The build quality is impressive. It feels sturdy and well-made, which gives me confidence that it will last through multiple uses.- Versatile Use: I’ve used it for various tasks, including pond drainage and garden watering, and it has performed admirably in all situations.Cons:- The power cord is a bit short for larger areas, so you might need an extension cord for more extensive jobs. Not as powerful as advertised
The unit works fine but it does not pump out as fast as a 1/3 HP should and does not have a low water cut off ,but i should have checked the description better for that. but compared to other 1/3 HP pumps i have had this one takes about 45 min to 50 mins to pump 225 gallons of water from my truck into my cistern about 20 ft away and at a lower angle ,where my old pumps would take about 25 to 30 min tops

Worked during the heavy California Rain in LA County
Product Purpose:I originally needed a submersible water pump after realizing that one corner of the backyard was becoming significantly flooded due to the recent California rains. I did some research and came across this product and gave it a chance.Receiving and Installing:The pump came in 2 days, just in time for the next big rain and it worked just like I needed it to. I hooked it up to a 25 foot water hose that led down the side of the house. The pump turns on as soon as you plug it in and immediately it began pushing water extremely quickly out to the driveway and into the street gutter.Tips:Some things to keep in mind when using; it works very quickly so you must keep a close eye on it and not leave it unattended because pumps like this are prone to burning out when it is not submerged enough (to the required line on the red part of the product) or when the water runs out (don’t let it suck in air), this happened the first time I used it because the water buildup was ankle deep all around the corner of the yard about 30 ft wide and yet it pushed out the water in about 15-20 minutes max. The water pump shut off on its own once it had nothing to suck in anymore and I quickly unplugged it when I noticed. This was also all during heavy rain, so this thing really has a lot of power.Product Care:Lastly, I bought the 3 year warranty just in case something goes wrong with it, but I feel it should be fine as long as I am doing the necessary maintenance and cleaning that the product information pamphlet describes. Basically, making sure as it runs that it is not sucking up any leaves, sticks, rocks etc.. Also flushing it every few months and making sure it is clean after using and also before storing it away.5 stars this product so far! I definitely recommend!

Leaks OIL!!! Stopped pumping after a year.
I purchased this pump to use 3 times a year to do white vinegar rinses of my tankless hot water system... and couldn't understand why after a couple uses it started turning the white vinegar rinse black... until I realized it was oil! The dammed thing was leaking OIL and running it through my expensive hot water system! Then it just stopped working; the motor continued to run... but it stopped pumping anything. Buy Chinese, expect such results. Problem is, of course, that's about all Amazon or anywhere else offers anymore.

Why did I wait so long?
The "self drain" on my hot tub has been hard to use and a total pain in my arse ever since I got it, 6 years ago.Several days ago, I literally couldn't get it to work after numerous frustrating attempts and decided it was way beyond time to invest in a cheap submersible pump.I checked on Amazon and saw this, but decided to try Home Depot and Lowe's first, as I didn't want to wait the 1 whole day for shipping (I know, I'm really spoiled now!). Home Depot had lesser pumps for double the cost and Lowe's had lesser pumps for triple the cost. Pretty easy decision. This thing is silent, so simple to use and drained my tub in less than an hour. It even sucked up sediment and the like from the bottom, whereas I had to use a wet vac after draining with the self drain. For a small job, like a hot tub, this is a no brainer and an excellent purchase. For my pool, I know it would take quite a while, but I may just stop renting a full size submersible pump in the future, as this thing is so easy.Great little submersible pump!

easy to use and pumps out almost to the last drop
This pump is highly recommended as it really gets the job done. Recent rain in Nevada had caused water to accumulate (about 16-20 inches deep) in a low spot. The water was not clean as it contained many leaves and some accumulated dirt. I attached a garden hose to the pump oulet, lowered the pump in the area to be cleared using a rope attached to the pump handle and powered it. It did the job without any problem, did not get clogged with leaves and pumped water out down to the last 1/4 inch. Great tool! I recommend using a garden hose with a plastic connection to avoid stripping the connection to the pump (also made of pastic)

Max Temp
Great until I opened it to find out the maximum water temperature is only 35-deg Celsius. Maybe I missed it on the product page, but that was kind of disappointing.

Could not be used, crooked outlet
The item's spout/outlet was badly crooked. The part that receives the hose was screwed wrong and tightly on the pump outlet. Trying to remove it to put it back straight runs the risk of breaking/damaging the threads such that it would leak during pumping.
