Not a lot of stoppers for our very aged (and honestly falling apart tub). This one does the job, it’s kid friendly, and super easy to uses. Most importantly, it doesn’t leak and the water stays in the tub!! This stopper is very durable. We have had it for 20 months and it is performing like new.

When I received this, I was concerned that the outer blue circle is too light weight, but once water starts coming into the tub, the water pressure holds it down well, so it works well. But when I turn the jets on high, the outer part of the ring flaps some -- I think it loses just a little bit of water then, but not too much. I should probably give it a 5 for working really well, but I wish it were just a little bit thicker ... if that wouldn't keep it from working as well ....

So far this is the best bathtub strainer I've found. The plastic ones always fall apart after a few months, but this stainless steel one is still going strong. Keeps my hair out of the drain, is easy to clean, and looks nice.

I bought this to replace my tub drain stopper seeing its one of those annoying ones you push down but has a ball still sticking up, water always slowly drained out even though in plug position, drove me crazy...Well the little mesh hair catcher thing fit my tub drain perfectly and the rubber drain stopper actually works, I'd assume your tub needs to be smooth surfaced for it to work perfectly, two baths and didn't hear or see any water draining out during the baths...Happy purchaser!

The stopper does a decent job of keeping water in the tub, except sometimes it looses its grip if you nudge it slightly (e.g., if my medium-sized dog steps on it). The stopper does not stick to the wall of the shower, though. The drain strainer works to prevent hair from going down the strain but the holes are so small that it gets clogged really easily. I clean it every day but the bubbles from my soap bars is enough to clog the holes in the strainer. If the holes were slightly bigger, it'd be much more effective.

The first thing I did was used my tub to strip my towels and this was sturdy enough that not a drop of water was lost in the 4 hours they soaked and it withstood my stirring everything around every hour without losing suction. The hair catcher was an added bonus. I have one of those rubber catchers with the spikes and it gets really gross with shampoo and conditioner. I was amazed at how much hair this one caught during its first shower and have now put the other one away.
