There darn well better be a Book 3
Sigh ... Read this in this in less than a day. Great continuation of the story, except the ending left me with the same feeling after watching The Matrix Reloaded or Hunger Games Mockingjay Part I. If I knew it was going to end this way I would have waited until Book 3 was about to be released. My recommendation - don't read this until the day before Book 3 goes on sale.To the author - get busy and get book 3 written pronto.

I probably would be happier if I started reading the series after it was ...
First off this book could have given the reader more. It ends abruptly, with you wanting more. It gives the impression that the writer is just writing to set up the next book. I probably would be happier if I started reading the series after it was completed. But instead I will be waiting months for the next release. The writer could have easily added a couple of hundred pages and finished the story.

The middle...all around.
I'll not include spoilers other than to say obviously the story goes on, there is a part three and this is part two and if you didn't realize that, like me, you look for the rest of the book when this one ends. The strange part is, I love time travel stories and there is far more time traveling in this story than the first but it feels very little like a time travel story. There is a bit of a convoluted mystery and a lot of confusing time jump overlap multiple versions but not multiple universes. Yet there is almost no true feel of wonder and awe at the fact the people are traveling through time. Here the time jumps are a few minutes, jumping a few feet, then an hour, then to the other side of the road then another hour, then a few more hours then again to the other side of the road. You get the feeling that someone may be hoping to see his work made into a movie and these are just rapid scene cuts. Only most are in the middle of nowhere so as far as it being "time travel"...meh...I suppose...but not what most may be thinking. Here's to a hope that part three gets us back to part one levels.

Terrific time-travel tale.
Just as with book one, I was do captivated I found myself day reading rather than just the usual bedtime habit I have.Picking up right after the events of the first book, Denny is quickly pitched onto a runaway train of adventures through time. There is a definite feeling of helplessness for our protagonist on this edge of the seat ride.I actually didn't realise this was a trilogy and was dreading it finishing and then a little confused that so much was left to do as I neared the end. I was very glad to see that there was a third part and shall be starting it right away.Highly recommended.

Too much jumping around rather than plot and no conclusion. You have to wait for the next book
This book spends too much time whipping back and forth in time with not much plot in between. It would have been more interesting if there were fewer jumps and more happening in those jumps. The hero is practically useless as he is beaten by the women so many times it is silly. Then to top it off the book never has a climax. You have to wait for the next in the series to see what happens. I do not mind continuations (like from book one to book two in this series) where there is at least a conclusion to the plot. Not so this time and i doubt i will purchase the third book

The first book was a lot of fun to read
The first book was a lot of fun to read. The second book is terrible. Even just ends in the middle of the story with a "to be continued" ending! All of a sudden, the main character becomes a complete idiot; making decisions that a ten-year-old would scoff at. But then again, there would be no story if stupid decisions are not made.Terrible. Just terrible.

Highly recommend waiting for book 3 to be published first
If I had known that it's going to end inconclusively, I'd have waited for book 3.Some books of a series can stand on their own. Rewinder, for example, is perfectly enjoyable on its own. This book, however, leaves the story hanging at the end.The story itself is OK. Not great, but entertaining, and suspenseful. Other than the protagonist, the other characters are not especially well developed. A lot of scenarios are given, but not fully explored. I hope it doesn't mean there's going to be multiple books following this one.I got the MP3 CD. Nothing fancy, comes on a CD-R with 21 MP3 files (1 for each chapter). For some reason it is much less expensive than Audible.

loved them all
Talk about a change of pace!! I've read nearly every other Kindle book by Brett Battles, loved them all... until this. Sci-fi may just not be his genre. I found it kind of a torture to read with predictable "jumps" all the time to different dates and locations. This got tedious and boring really quick for me. The ending was unsatisfying as well after all this reading.I hope Mr. Battles goes back to his mystery/action adventure writing instead.

Just another "Kindle Special"
Is it just me or is anyone else tiring of the new style of novel which has sprung up since the invention of the Kindle? I call it the Kindle Special". It's not really a novel but more like a few chapters in a wider story with no discernable ending which is designed to firstly bring you in with a freebie and then hook you with a follow up which just leaves you hanging and (hopefully) buying the next few chapters.Steven King published a novel in multiple parts on the internet - the principle has been around since Dickens - but at least they were labeled as such. With a modern "Kindle Special" you won't know until you're at 90% with no closure in sight whether or not you'll be left hanging. It's just plain bad manners if you ask me.

Complicated and confusing.
Complicated and confusing and the blatant build up to cliff hanger end and lead in to next book was slightly insulting. It left me feeling like I did at the ''Thrupenny rush'' at the local cinema on Saturday mornings when the serial left the hero doomed and then feeling cheated the next week at an unlikely escape. There are a plethora of time travel books at the moment, they appear to be in fashion again, this is not the best of them. Books and reading are always subjective, sorry Mr. Battles, it did not do it for me personally. I defer to yourself as a professional writer to have a more expert opinion.

Interesting follow-up
I very much liked the first of the Rewinder books and was looking forward to this one. The initial dilemma With which Denny finds himself makes for a good start to the book. The meeting with his past should then have provided a very sound basis for an exciting and extraordinary journey, but I feel the author has copped out, with much of the time-travelling episodes being used to fill the pages. The ending was very disappointing and a bit of a cop-out, with no proper conclusion. Undoubtedly there will be a third Book in the series and I will read it in the hope of a proper story.

For a while I thought I had a good idea of what may be going on
Not quite as gripping as the first in the series - Rewinder - but well done in it's own right aswell. I am currently only half way through. For a while I thought I had a good idea of what may be going on, but on my last read something happened where that theory may not be correct, so I have come up with another theory. I shall have to keep reading to find out. Meaning that even though it isn't quite as gripping as the first book, it still has my attention and intrigue, and in a way only Brett Battles can seem to do.

Dissapointing overall and tedious in parts
Loved the first book in the series 'Rewinder', though not my usual genre choice. It was well-paced and thought-provoking. 'Destroyer' on the other hand really frustrated me. The storyline itself was fine but the timeline 'destroying' section was overly long and actually became tedious in places and I became quite fed up with the lead character's ineffectiveness. Probably won't be reading the 3rd in the series, unfortunately, as book 1 really did hook me and I immediately bought book 2.

Can Denny Younger correct the timeline, and more to the point, does he want to?
Time travelling Denny Younger becomes embroiled in a scenario that gets screwed up and thus changes the timeline. His nemesis is Lidia, a Rewinder who has had him in her sights sine he first became a Rewinder, and she's out for vengeance.

Disappointing
I thoroughly enjoyed the first book, thought it had a lot of potential for an interesting series, but found this next chapter very frustrating and repetitive.

What The ...?
Reviewed Rewinder previously as one of the BEST books I have ever read - thought provoking and a massive contribution to the time travel science fiction genre ... couldn't wait for the follow up.The follow up "Destroyer" is rubbish - no plot, no storyline, no logic - no anything except an unexplained chaotic "100 cities in 10 days" smash through history and time for absolutely no reason, no outcome and no purpose.I don't think I have been more disappointed in a book ever and needless to say I won't waste my time and money on Episode 3. I'll certainly read Rewinder again, but Battles has lost the plot and in so doing lost me as a fan and a reader.Destroyer is sheer drivle!

So what happens next?
As with the previous book,I just couldn't put it down. All was going great, till the end, when everythung just stopped. Will there be another in this series? I am dying to know what happens next.

First novel was so much fun, this one dragged on and on. Ends hard, definitely a sell push for the next one.
And I am being generous
