A smart one, if you allow it to set up properly
After trying many different brands and models, I’m happy to report this is the winner for my house. Excellent app that lets you do anything with two-way live communication with the vacuum. To truly enjoy the benefits of this vacuum, you MUST be patient and ALLOW THE ROBOT TO INITIALLY WONDER FOR HOURS TO MAP YOUR HOME WITH THE LASER MAPPING. To do this, you must let it get fully charged. Load the 360 app. Get it connected to your wifi. It walks you through it. Then, and this is the important part, hit the clean button on the app and LEAVE THE VACUUM ALONE. You’ll see it do a perimeter of an area, pause a bit, then fill that area in. You can watch the path it’s taking as it builds a map of the floor plan of your house. Just when you think it’s acting loopy, you’ll see there’s logic to the path it’s taking. You don’t have to pull chairs out from under the table. This will maneuver the slalom quite well. When the battery gets low, it’ll tell you it’s going to get recharged. Sure enough, it drives itself right back to the charger just like a car that’s staying in its lane. Yes, this is still the important part... don’t pull the dust bin unless it pauses and asks you to. Don’t take it off the charger to look at it’s fancy features. JUST LEAVE IT ALONE. When it’s done charging, it’ll go right back to where it left off, do a few spins to confirm it’s location, and continue mapping your floor plan. Depending on your house, it may take 3 trips to the charger to complete the mapping. I almost thought it was heading back to the charger to say it was complete even though a small 3x3 ft area wasn’t mapped as vacuumed. The vacuum is quite smart. It went from across the house, covered that area when I thought it was complete with that room, then went back to the charger. Until it tells you (literally talks), “Cleaning is complete!”, it’s not done.If you interrupt the initial totally automated mapping process, you will have to start over. Even pulling the dust bin while it’s charging will cause a restart of mapping. It knows when the bin is full and it’ll tell you to pull it and empty it.Now, once you’ve heard cleaning is complete, what it’s actually saying that first time you hear it is “I did the mapping, but now I need to do a full cleaning on my own before you can create rooms on the map”. It’s be nice if it said that, but, it doesn’t.So, after hearing cleaning is complete after the initial automated process, the vacuum MUST be commanded to “clean” on the app. It’ll then take all the laser mapping info (of that floor/level) and do a much more organized full cleaning of the floor plan. Again, LEAVE IT ALONE and only intervene if it tells you to do something. Trust me, it has a lot to say. Once it’s completed the entire floor plan UNINTERRUPTED, it’ll return to the charger and say “cleaning is complete!” a second time.If you’ve done the above, now it ready to do what you want it to. You can then tap on the “room” tab in the app and see your floor plan with different color rooms. If you see a map with color rooms, you’re good to go.Initial tip: set the vacuum suction power to low during the mapping process to have the longest mapping sessions and less recharging breaks. (You can select 4 levels of suction live whenever you want).Once the mapping was complete, I leave it on max, because that’s why I bought the thing: to vacuum instead of me lol.The first “that’s cool!” moment was seeing my dog knock over her bowl of dry food while playing. Sure, I could’ve cleaned it up, but why? Haha. So, I opened the app, chose the “area” tab, tapped “add zone” which made a little square pop up on the floor plan, easily moved and resized the zone right around the mess, and hit clean. This what I consider “the test”. Sure enough, the vacuum said time to clean a zone and drove itself to the exact spot I created in the map. It then did perimeter of the drawn square/rectangle I made around the mess, and then proceeded to methodically complete a back and forth trip within the area. I did have to move the bowl. It then said zone has been completed and drove right back to the charger. On high suction, it picked up 99% of avg size kibble. Not satisfied with 3 bits of kibble remaining, I sent it back to do the zone again and all was clean. Keep in mind this was a kibble mess on carpet. I was asking a lot of this thing. Turns out I didn’t have to send it back a second time... there’s a “X2 deep cleaning” option when creating a zone that needs attention. It’ll do the created zone twice. If you have a second floor (up to 10), you need to bring the charging dock to the next floor you want mapped. Go to the maps tab, choose new map, and follow the instructions above for the second floor. You can make custom names for each map. Just ensure you choose the appropriate map depending on the floor you’re using the vacuum on or the vacuum will default to the first map created and be very confused. If you get this and want to see the LIDAR laser mapping in action, use slo mo video on your iPhone and get down to the level of the vacuum. It’s pretty cool! The mop function is great as well. You can set it to just the areas needing mopping and let it go once the mop attachment is filled and in place. In mop mode, you can choose to have the vacuum function turned on as well to suck up items just prior to the floor being mopped. Or leave the vacuum off.Oh yes. This is GREAT as far as controlling hair wrap. Very little maintenance is needed on the brush roll. What little cleaning it does need, the vacuum has a very clever tool to clean the roll. There’s even an on board protected storage spot for the tool so you don’t lose it.So many functions in an app that’s actually easy to use.I know there’s a lot of these things out there. I’m really happy with the S7 Pro.

Just amazing, My "Rosie" 360 S7 Pro Vacuum!
My 360 S7 Pro Robot vacuum arrived a week ago, I immediately unboxed, downloaded the app into my Android phone and created an account (this went smoothly), set up the wifi connection (easy peasy), and set her to charge. When she reached full charge I set her to begin mapping the main floor of my house, which took two passes and she accomplished this with great accuracy (amazing), I have two dogs who live inside with me and my husband, a German Shorthair pointer and a Rat Terrier, both shed, I vacuum with my large vacuum once a week and sometimes twice a week, but in between the dog hair is always a problem, oh, did I mention I have really long hair, so I contribute to the hair on the floors too. I was looking for a robot vacuum that would work between regular vacuuming, watched videos, compared different types, decided quickly I would want a vacuum that has Lidar and this one just really had the best specs for my purposes, I haven't tried the mopping feature yet as that's not as important to me and would most likely be like damp mopping, I have a mixture of hard floors and carpet, and am so pleased with the results of the 360 s7 pro's cleaning ability on all my floors. My husband couldn't resist naming her "Rosie" after the Jetson's robot maid, we have her cleaning designated rooms around midnight every night and have her clean the rooms that are not used often a couple times a week. When we get up in the mornings it is so nice to see freshly vacuumed floors, this is a nice way to start your day. I do empty her dust bin every day and find it easy to do, The first day I had to clean all my long hair out of the brush, and each day since am finding much less hair wrapped around that brush, this is something I have to do regularly with my main vacuum as well. I am so very happy with this purchase and hope my "Rosie" the 360 S7 Pro robot vacuum will be around for a long time. Oh, just a side note, my dogs are quite indifferent to the vacuum, not afraid and not upset when "Rosie" does her job.

Not for dark caroets
Vacuum would not clean our dark rugs, nor would it map the complete house. The house is 3600 sq with about 2400 on the main level, it never completed the main level. The dark rugs (while mentioned in the users manual that they may be a problem) we could never get it to stay on them and do the cleaning. We returned it for a refund. It seemed to clean ok and it worked fine on our dark hardwood floors.
