Yes, the watch itself is black metal; I assume stainless steel? The band is too. I already had a stainless steel watch (with a white face) that I use as a dress/formal watch and put this Seiko on a sport/rubber strap. It's been great for yard work, kayaking, etc. Very durable and attractive in my opinion.

Not sure, but it is all black, but a gun metal and not jet or flat black. Not at all silver or shiny like other watches.

Q: Is there a srpd model of this watch but with a black case like the srpd79? looking for a black case with white accents on the bezel, hands, dial.

Go on youtube and look up (the new seiko 5) and you will find a guy showing every configuration of the srpd

I do not know the exact return policy, but everything I have purchased from Amazon has always had it clearly stated.
