Flagship Handmade Blackship Pomade - Firm Hold - Low Shine, 4oz

I’m becoming a bit of a connoisseur of hair pomades, and this is one of my favorites out of the dozens I own. It is thick, almost like a clay. Clays hold well, for sure. But, I generally don’t like clays because they are so hard to get out of the container and then you have to rub your hands together for a while to heat and soften them up. Not my thing.But the Blackship performs like a clay, but is not a clay. My best description is that it feels like a super wet, very easy to handle, clay and is very easy to scoop out and goes in my hair effortlessly. It’s just great to handle. It is one of the best holding products I own, and my hair style stays put all day long. Because it is water based, it also washes out really easily. Definitely a unique and absolutely winning pomade!

I have been using this pomade since before I came to the U.S and even with the new packaging and slightly changed formula, it's still working pretty great. Steady hold throughout the day without looking glossy or unnatural. One thing though is that it's not the easiest to clean off even with shampoo.

Had just gotten and was really looking forward on using it but was immediately turned off when I saw it was completely dried out and cracked. I had put used some water to rehydrate it but to pay that much and ship in such a sorry state I’ll save myself the trouble and get it from the actual brand itself.

One of the strongest holds I've had in a product, a step above Layrite Superhold. In addition, a nice but not overpowering scent.

Tried twice and it leaves small clumps in hair, smelled rancid, and takes several washes to clean out.Don't know what the hype is all about for it. Strong hold though.

I really wanted to like this pomade. But what I received seems like an old jar that was sitting around somewhere. I've had to remove a chunk of solid rocky pomade from the center of the jar. The top layer is super grainy and leaves little white "pebbles" on my hands that I have to break down individually or else I look like I have some sort of eggs in my hair. Not happy. :(

I liked the product and it smells good but for a pomade I expected a little more shine to the hair after applying it. I still use it but mix it up with a little gel to add some shine to my hair.
