Brutal Prince: An Enemies To Lovers Mafia Romance (Brutal Birthright) Paperback – July 14, 2020

Well written , I liked the fast pace of the story it held my attention, I loved the action, the comical bits and of course the steamy bits as well.

This is such a good mafia romance! If you’re new into the arranged marriage trope this would be a great first book! I loved the female main character and how she always kept her personality throughout every situation and he stopped trying to tame her and instead just loved her as she was

So good, I’m a sucker for every trope in this! They truly balance each other out. It’s an easy read and keeps you interested at all times. Between the romance and the action I was able to read this in a few days even though I’m a slow reader.

It’s too bland for a mafia book. Book failed to paint them as powerful family. And brotherhood portrayed too. Not the kind of Mafia book Inwas expecting.The lovestory felt rushed. No build up. No tension. It’s like one day they hate each other, then theyre consumating marriage then they love each other. But no supporting scenes on how they fell. Waste of opportunity to build the tension of falling for someone you’re supposed to hate.Story is tolerable. But not the kind you wanna reread. It didn’t have a peak. No scene to remember. Failed to elicit strong emotions

This was my first mafia romance, and I think it's unlocked a new sub-genre for me. I read this book as for the September #readmoreindieromance Buddy Read and enjoyed it overall! It was funny and a little bit chaotic, but Aida was an enjoyable and loyal firecracker while Callum was a boss dom. (I feel like such a poser saying that phrase, but I honestly can't think of a better description.)Their relationship is arranged because of Aida's impulsiveness and the optics that Callum takes on a wife to win a political race. Aida shows how cunning and smart she is when she causes Callum to have an allergic reaction early on in their relationship, and Callum shows her just how she is to get *punished* as a result. Once they were both in the relationship though, they were committed out of loyalty to their families but grew to depend on one another during high stress situations.I liked Aida's brothers a lot and might continue the series ... the WIDE age gaps are a tad much for me though.

Brutal Prince is the first book in Sophie Lark’s Brutal Birthright series and I don’t even know why I put this mafia romance off for so long! I guess I was worried it wouldn’t live up to the hype but okay wow it totally did! I was obsessed with this book the whole read through; it made me laugh, melt, swoon, and I was just dyiiiing over the chemistry!Callum and Aida are from rival mafia families. They both live in Chicago, he’s from an Irish family and she’s from an Italian family. Griffin is the oldest sibling, and only son of the Griffin family, at 30 he’s ready to get into politics to help out the family business. Aida lives with her father and 3 brothers: Dante, Nero, and Sebastian, and wishes they’d let her join in. At the beginning of the story, Aida and her brothers end up crashing Nessa Griffin’s birthday party and Aida sneaks into the family’s house. She ends up looking around in the library, starting a fire to escape when Callum enters, and sealing a family heirloom. This of course starts some drama between the two feuding families. Sick of the fighting, losing members of their families to one another, and just all the drama, Aida’s father and Callum’s father decide to sit down and meet and come to an agreement. They decide Callum and Aida will marry to form an alliance between the families to end the feuding once and for all.I loved this book from the start! This is a legit enemies to lovers with both constantly messing with one another, she even almost kills him on their wedding day! 😅 I loved seeing their hate for one another and just all their shenanigans: he forces her hand with a pre-wedding spa day, she swaps out his wedding tux, the wedding kiss (strawberries). I loved how much family was a part of the story: after the wedding, Aida moves into his family’s home, she understands their family loyalty, her relationship with her brothers, and her being friends with his sister Nessa. Aida is badass and amazing! She has wanted to be a part of the family business and I loved seeing Callum listen to her and all she knows. So many amazing action moments in this book and the chemistry was just fantastic! I can’t wait to binge this series now and totally regret not starting sooner!

Feuding families, arranged marriage, enemies to lovers, sexy/spicy scenes, and action/adventure... what more could you want in a smut-tacular novel?Aida and Callum's relationship starts off rocky with hatred.Callum is running to be an Alderman of Chicago knowing that there is more power when you are part of running the city. He isn't the most likeable for most, but he is charming and puts on a good show. He is handsome, dangerous, possessive and dare say jealous. He thinks he knows what everyone wants out of his campaign but a wild spit fire sure shows him he doesn't have everyone pegged. He doesn't want anything to do with this marriage but what is he without his family, the power, and the respect so he will play the game and get things done. He doesn't expect Aida to surprise him as much as she does, and he can't deny that he likes it.Aida doesn't take crap from no one, she is sassy as hell, strong and she a prefect match for Callum talk about keeping him on his toes. she is angry, stubborn and pretty damn awesome. She's fearless, will do anything for her family even if it mean sacrificing herself - after all she believes it's all her fault. She knows more than they think, she's stronger than he knows and she is ready for a fight. She's beautiful, confident, and oh so feisty!I really enjoyed this book, I love a good maria romance.

the plot was pretty good and the way I GASPED ON PAGE 88 LIKE UHHMMMMM???? also the cover and drawings were pretty nice except for when I saw callums bootycrack it traumatized me but it was a quick read and I loved it.

Aida é uma mocinha nada mocinha...forte, inteligente, sincera, sabe o que quer. Não tem como nao gostar dela! Callum também acha difícil resistir. Amei a química deles e amei o livro!!

I really enjoyed this book, the FMC was very funny! And a badass!! And a reminder not to underestimate a women!! Really good mafia story! Good amount of 🌶️🌶️🌶️
