This appears to be well built. It's the perfect size to fit on my cabinet door without taking up too much space. The hanger didn't fit on my thick cabinet doors so I used the sticky backed bracket that was included. I preferred that because it gave me more options on where to hang the bin and it is more secure than just hanging over the door. Our city composting service provides bags to use for our scraps and they fit perfectly in the bin. This bin also has a removable top ring to hold the bag so it doesn't fall down inside. That is a problem I had with my previous scraps bin. I also like that the lid has a hook to hang it on the bin to get it out of the way. The lid seals tight but is not difficult to remove or replace. I am very happy with this purchase.

I keep my compost bin hanging from the cabinet door under my kitchen sink. There's lip on the lid that you can hang the lid off the front of the bin while you're prepping in the kitchen and don't have to set a dirty lid on a clean prep surface. It's also, small enough that you can set the bin on the counter while prepping. It's just large enough to hold a couple days of coffee grinds and table scraps and just small enough to fit under the sink out of the way. I don't use compostable bags on mine and just wash it out after I empty it, but there's a ring around the top of the bin to secure bags if you wish to use it. I haven't had found any negative points on this bin and would highly recommend it!

I really like this compost bin. Besides the attractive green color, small footprint for it's capacity and comparatively low cost, it has several useful features not found on other bins. The inner, removable ring keeps the compostable liner bags I use in place and out of sight; I keep my bin on the kitchen countertop so an attractive clean look was important. Additionally, when I'm generating a lot of compost scraps, the removeable bracket that clips over a cabinet door or drawer allows you to scrape your cutting board scraps directly into the bin, touch-free. The lid's inner bracket lets you rest the lid on the side of the bin, not on the countertop, which frees up counter space and prevents transferring condensation under the lid onto your countertop. I plan to order another one and will recommend it to my friends.

The media could not be loaded.  I love it except the lid you have to use your fingers to open it and we know our fingers get dirty from chopping dicing garlic and all that.. the lid would be perfect if it flipped open instead o having to use 3 fingers to pull the lid open and up but other than that it’s perfect

I was looking for a small bin to replace an on-counter version.This is a great product. We cook almost every meal at home and from scratch. The bin is just the right size for a couple for about 4 days of peelings etc.The bin comes with two fixing methods. We used the fixed-door-mount to hang the bin on a door inside a cabinet.The bin also comes with a door-hook which we use as a temporary holder when we are prepping a lot of vegetables and want the bin really close to hand (it hangs from a drawer right at the workspace).It is rugged and easy to clean (we use compostable bin bags for a no-mess solution).Already recommended to all our friends, this is a great product.

The best thing about this product vs one that sits on the countertop is I can hang this outside on the bottom cabinet door when I'm chopping vegetables and I can hide it inside when I'm not cooking. I don't like kitchen scraps container on the counter top. This one is compact but not too small that I have to make frequent trips to the compost tumbler outside and empty it. It holds quite a bit of kitchen waste for a couple of days. I empty it before it starts smelling.It came with an adhesive backing and a plastic hanger. I'm using the adhesive backing in the inside of the cabinet and plastic hanger if I have to hang the container outside the door. My cabinet door doesn't give enough clearance for this product to hang using the plastic hanger on this inside.

This is a really smart design and it saves me from making multiple trips to the compost throughout the day. The lid keeps the smell down and the removable rim makes it easy to line the composter with an old grocery sack. The over-the-cabinet hook keeps the composter handy while I cook without it being on the counter. All around a great design.My only suggestion would be to make the drop from the over-the-counter hook to the top of the composter a little longer so that it can be turned around and stored inside of a lower cabinet when not in use. We have a dog, who likes garbage and storing the empty composter over the door, but inside of the cabinet at times would be useful.

HEY, HEY ,HEY..I'm very happy with this little thing. It's only been day one but I am loving it. Some reviews said the clip that hangs off the cabinet breaks.. if that happens I will update. But as of now it is sturdy and hanging in there. I bit the bullet and got the suggested unni 2.6 gallon bags and they fit great. Sometimes I go over if I am making something complicated and these seem like they will take it. The color is awesome, the lid hangs all over the side if ya want as advertised.
