This adhesive is not the equivalent of Tightbond Wood Glue
Tightbond Instant Adhesive is not the equivalent of Tighbond II Wood Glue. As such it is not a replacement for TWG. It does not have the tear strength of TWG. My testing yielded about 1/4 of the tear strength of TWG. The glue joint fails rather than the wood. That said, it has its uses. For example, a close-fitting box joint with high surface contact area can be dry assembled. The instant adhesive can then be applied at the parting lines. It will wick into the joint.

CA Glue
I have used this CA Glue for many years as a finish on Wood Pens I turn on the lathe. I use multiple coats to get a deep high gloss finish that lasts. I will stay a steady customer for this. It saves me a 1 & 1/2 hour round trip drive to my nearest wood working store.

unparalleled
As a woodworker, I absolutely love this product and its companion CA, thick. I frequently use the lathe and many times there are areas of punky wood....the thin version of this CA will stabilize these areas and sometimes, if there is a void, I will fill it with sawdust of the same type of wood and then saturate the sawdust with it. What is great, is that it sets up immediately and it tools on the lathe just like the wood. When there are pieces of wood that become detached. I can reattach immediately and it rarely shows.

Clearly met my expectations.
Great product for sealing wood turned items. Wear deposable gloves when using. Warms up real fast. Dries very quickly. Highly recommend.

Great product, but….
I use this glue all the time for woodturning projects, but didn't realize the bottle was so big. After you open it, they tend to last for a period of time before the opening gets all dried up and not as useable. For my application, i should have purchased the smaller bottle.
