High arches? Size up
I purchased these shoes for running. I have extremely high arches (My footprint is totally disconnected between the forefoot and heel), damaged knees and hips, am prone to Achilles tendonitis and shin splints, and supinate slightly (heels roll outward). I'm a mess, basically, so I need a shoe with a level 4 or 5 cushion and very sturdy support. But without being constrictive, as I have a high foot profile due to my arches. I also wear insoles and athletic socks when I run. And these were purported to be narrow, so I decided to go up a half size.I chose these shoes based on online reviews.ARE THEY NARROW?I was worried about the reviews that claim these are narrow. I don't have wide feet, but I don't have narrow feet either. And when I run, the ball of my foot and my toes "splay" apart a bit, so I usually prefer room in the toe box to accommodate for that. But on first wear, I don't find them narrow at all, particularly in the toe box, where I felt there was ample room. That was surprising.PROFILE:I DO find the laces go up higher on the foot than i typically like since I have a high profile and laces often cause my feet to go numb. I just don't lace the last eyes.COMFORT:These have a high degree of cushion and a snappy, springy response. I need the cushion, but like to feel the response with the running surface, so that snappy response makes them very comfortable overall. However, I still find numbness in my toes (Which is super common for me if I'm using, say, an elliptical) is still an issue.STYLEIf it matters, they're a nice, understated running shoe with a few small details that make them quite attractive. I got them in grey because grey goes with everything and after my shoes retire from running, they usually end up becoming "Schlepping around town" shoes, so I want to make sure they're not going to spend their sunset years clashing with my wardrobe.

Long live the 23
First of all, I am dedicated to the fit and comfort of my Mizunos but the 24’s didn’t work for me. For some reason the fit was too long and I felt a different angle on the foot bed that was destabilizing. I returned them and ran around trying to find the old version 23 to stock up. Found a couple pair at outlier sites but others must have had the same idea. Only ugly colors out there in my size. Please Mizuno, can you work on the hip factor just a bit?

On par with 2020 - terrible.
I truly love Mizunos and like everyone, have had my favs and not so favs with every generation/update but these... what the heck Mizuno!!?? Since discovering Mizunos back with Gen 14, I have always felt like I was running with my best friend. Nothing else comes close to propelling me through each mile. But these are like running with an alien. The new sole feels well... soulless. The usual bounce and lift is gone — Zero joy. Hate, HATE this “Enerzy foam” update. The ball of my foot swims from side to side in the mid soles (no, I didn’t mistakenly buy the wide) and I have to pull the laces so tight the toe box fabric buckles. I would just skip this generation entirely and bide my time with the 23’s if you are lucky enough to find them.

Not for wide feet - even the wide size!
I am on the search for a pair of shoes that has great cushioning (I get insane heel pain) and excellent arch support. I also have somewhat wide feet (depending on the shoe). My mission feels impossible. I ordered this shoe in a wide expecting that it would fit - most wide shoes do and some shoes I don't even need a wide. This shoe is so narrow, that even the wide width felt narrow and tight. The shoe felt cushy and the arch support nice, but It was just too tight. So, my search continues, but if you don't have a wide foot and are looking for cushion and arch support, this could be a great choice.

Absolutely Love!!
Pink is my favorite color, and I feel simply marvelous wearing these! Mizuno has been my go-to for years, and I find them so supportive and healing to my plantar fasciitis. I wear an 8.5 and ordered the 8.5, which fit perfectly. They’re bright and beautiful and exactly what I wanted!

Quality is not what it used to be
I was so disappointed in these Mizunos. I've been loyal to the Wave Rider for many many years now. Some models are better than others, but they are consistently my favorite running shoe and are the most comfortable for my foot and great for my light arches. These are like a different shoe! Stiff, almost no arch support, heavy, and clunky. I had to return them and found a new brand.Mizuno, please return to the previous style and comfort you used to have! If the Wave Riders return to quality I'll be back. But until then, I won't be buying your shoes again.

The 24's are NOT the same as previous models!
These are NOT the same as the past years models! The enerzy foam sucks and my foot slides all around in this shoe! Ive been wearing the wave riders for 10 years now and have never had any issues until this version. I will be searching for the 23's to wear until the 25's come out in which they hopefully go back to the old design!

Bottom of shoe peeled apart after 6 weeks of use
I've worn this same style of Mizunos for over 10 years and always order a new model every six months or so. I haven't been super pleased with the fit since they changed to more fabric front- they get your feet wet when walking on dewy grass and they seem to have more stretch so I spend more time trying to adjust laces to perfect fit. BUT, this all pales in comparison to my latest problem- I purchased this pair of shoes during the Prime Sale on June 22nd for $100 and yesterday felt that something was wrong as I was working out and looked down to see that the bottom of the shoe is peeling off. I've only worn the shoes for indoor workouts and walking and running outside for 6 weeks. Maybe a defective pair, but past the return period. I'm super disappointed that I spent $100 on a pair of shoes that lasted 6 weeks.

Great value
Love mizuno wave riders, excellent for “neutral” runners, light weight, great value. Typically fit a half size small, so order a half size larger than other shoes.

Good design and quality!
I like the colour and the design of the shoes. However, you should choose the size bigger. Its size is smaller than usual. Anyway I love this product and the service.
