Its like an ocean romance
This couple met for a hook-up and Maude stripper name "Lana" had a birth control failure while Bronco 'of course' didn't use a condom. Considering that Lana had given Bronco a lap dance and stripped for his table I did feel it was rude that he didn't pay her for the hook-up; while it is rude to assume dancers have sex for money it is not ridiculous to think Lana needs money since she works for a living ... So he could have tipped her a few grand or ten. Anyways, ten months later Bronco gets to meet Carina the fruit of his loins. And its gonna be love. You just know it is.Now i can't give a lot of details because that will spoil the book. But I will say that this is a Silver Stallion young filly story. Or should I figure out sea creatures to go with my Title? If Bronco was not at a point in his life where he had killed most of his enemies and felt comfortable looking forward to eventually handing the reins of the MC to his successor, then he could not have opened his heart to Lana. At the same time Lana Maude would have gone along with whatever she was told to do but happiness and love like she finds with Bronco wouldn't have happened. What i enjoy about Bijou Hunter books is the slow drawing of emotion, yes love, which her main characters develop. So easy to see lust, sex, attraction. Bronco can get himself one A++ hot stripper who his kids like, she's inoffensive at the dinner table, his close friends approve, and the sex is burning up the ... salt water. Or he can find a woman who is able to speak to his daughter when she freaks out, who freaks out herself then speaks with him, who is gentle and caring, but she doesn't cook! A hundred things it takes time and effort to learn versus treating his new Baby Mama like a Club Bunny.Bijou creates the connection between her characters. She even writes for a dinner party that some Old Ladies wonder if Bronco didn't just get old (I'm paraphrasing here) and took the first gorgeous stripper he saw who he banged up versus Lana Maude was anyone special. But to Bronco Lana has become his Starfish. Lana blossoms with Bronco choosing her. She is able to focus on healing herself and her relationships. Don't forget this is a young woman who had a heart attack (Adderall) and more stressors than a barrel of monkeys, two children, now four with one being Sidonie and she counts as an entire 6 count of pre-school children who DIDN'T take their Adderall today, a sister-in-law who may be lurking around readying to kill her ... Thank goodness the sex is fantastic! Yet Bijou doesn't try to give us "Daddy romance" here, where the heroine forms a Daddy complex. Instead Lana spends time talking with her boyfriend and hears what he needs, what he can offer, how they can mesh. Its all very good.Ok, enough rambling by me. I enjoyed the book. 👍👍

New series!
A new Bijou series! I loved the set-up for this one. A one-night stand that leads to an unexpected pregnancy. Bronco is a great character and I loved how he was older. It’s so nice to read about a character in his mid-40’s. He’s done all the stupid stuff, lived a life and is ready for something different. He’s strong, a leader ready to settle down. Maude is a complicated character. She’s both strong and weak, but her insecurities and her desire to make a better life for herself and her two children make her worthwhile. These two are perfect together.

Not my kind of book!
Not my kind of book! This book struck me as a little ridiculous. Both of the main characters are rather weird people but they fall in love forever! There was too much weirdness, crazy people, and They could pretty much murder anybody they didn’t like and there were no repercussions. Just really not my kind of book! I probably won’t read another by this author.

Great Story
This book was not what I expected but it got me caught up in the story anyway. Bronco and Lana's story is filled with twists and turns and can I say Bronco's sister's are out there! As Dana finds her way in Bronco's world, she will have to accept his sisters' and the people of Shasta. Bronco and Lana will have you in their corner cheering them on to get their chance for a happily ever after.

Bronco
Bijou never disappoints. Bronco and Lana pull on on your heart strings with his gruff exterior and her damaged past. No relationship is perfect but these two fit like puzzle pieces. The teaser for the next book has me sitting on pins and needles. I can’t wait.

Ok
Ok read. Although I enjoy this authors books this was not my favorite. Lana was annoying. The daughters and sisters were on another of crazy. Nothing made sense. It was a struggle to finish.

Outstanding
Once again I was drawn in and hated that I had to stop reading to actually work..... Bijous style of writing has become my favorite. I look forward to this new band of bikers

Bronco
What a story! Loved the characters especially the two mean sisters of Bronco. But my favorite was Lana and Bronco’s journey! This is a must read in my opinion.

Making A Family
This is the first book in a new series. There is no cliffhanger, but there is a hook for the next book. This series follows others and has crossover of history and characters.Maude is a single mother and a stripper, who performs as Lana, who is recently divorced from a waste of space ex-husband. She hasn’t had a great life and lives in a very tightly locked down way. However, when she sees Bronco the president of Elko Executioners MC where she worked she fell for him hard. They end up in the back of her SUV and she doesn’t see him again until she asks her brother in law, the president of an MC with whom he has a very tenuous peace, to find him.Bronco started the EEMC when he was 19 years old and filled with rage and ambition. He succeeded in taking his town and has built up wealth and power as a result. However satisfied he is with his life, he’s not truly happy. He has two daughters, both from different mothers who were club bunnies. Both women were dreadful mothers and Brono took the oldest when her mother badly neglected her and the second daughter he raised from birth because he didn’t want to make the same mistake twice. When Bronco is summoned to Shasta, where he met the woman he knows as Lana, he finds her holding a baby who has his sister’s nose. He trusts her when she says the baby is his, but has a DNA test anyway and they plan for her to visit with the baby. Both Lana and Bronco are really attracted to each other still and have thought of the other often, but the distance and the situation between the clubs made them wary of trying to find the other, until after the baby was born. Bronco is a very loving father and he knows he wants to be in his daughter’s life, no matter what, but he also starts thinking about having Lana too.I got this book as a freebie during a promotion for MC books. I remembered that had read some books by this author and decided to try this one. I’m glad I did because it reminded me that I like Bijou Hunter’s books and I will go back to the series where I left off before. Because this book is part of connected series I feel like I missed out on a lot of backstory, however, the author explains the information that is necessary to make sense of the plot. The writing style is quite observational and alternates between Bronco and Lana’s point of view. There is a lot of internal descriptive prose rather than speech, which can make the book seem a little subdued sometimes in settings that anything but. This is because both Lana and Bronco are very self controlled people. They have a tight hold of their emotions and this is reflected in their internal monologue. The story is actually really sweet for a murdering biker and a stripper. The blending of their two families is bumpy in places and downright rocky in others, but there are some glowing positives right away, especially with the Desi, Lana’s first daughter and Sidonia, Broco’s second daughter who are instantly the best of friends. Most of the focus on this book is on the family and the romance and how both main characters have fought to make themselves better people and better parents. There is some MC plot but it’s in the background and Lana knows nothing about it.This was a compelling book and I enjoyed reading it, but I think you need to be a specific mindset to enjoy it. I will go back to the books I missed out though, because I do enjoy these stories and the way this author looks at the world.

So emotional, so good...
I am a big fan of Bijou Hunter books, and once again she did not disappoint. Some of the saddest parts of Maude's history had been explained in her sister Max's story with River, and she appeared in Shelby and Goliath's book. I'm so pleased that she got a book of her own as she turned out to be such a good, kind person. Bronco recognised there was more to her than her pretty looks, and they made a good couple. The story did have the expected 'hot' scenes but I don't think that's what Bijou Hunter books are really about. This author's favourite themes of family, friendships, humour, and raw emotion were here in spades. Whilst the early years for both characters was tough and upsetting (not uncommon in her stories), once again she wove a tale around how childhood experiences mould how we see and react to the world but that doesn't have to be set in stone, and people can change. I said in a previous review that Bijou writes children's characters really well, and they were a huge part of this story - and it was all the better for it.I really enjoyed this book. I'm looking forward to Maverick and Violet, and then more from Elko. Connor sounds like he'll be an interesting character...
