PLUSINNO Kids Fishing Pole, Portable Telescopic Fishing Rod and Reel Combo Kit - with Spincast Fishing Reel Tackle Box for Boys, Girls, Youth

We're vacationing in Florida and my son (5) and daughter (8) wanted to "go fishing". I knew that they'd have all the patience of 5 minutes, but wanted to give them something of the experience anyways. I looked for a set that would be age-appropriate and inexpensive.When I was a kid we had those terrible bamboo rods. Well let me tell you... we've come a long way. These set is excellent... you'll be shocked by how much you get for your money. The kid inside me is jealous that I didn't have anything like this.The entire set is very light... nearly weightless. My son (5) had no trouble carrying this a distance. He put it on like a backpack even though it's not designed as such.The rod is pretty much ready to go. All you need to do is position the reel on it and hand tighten this piece that screws over it. You'll only need to do this once and then you can just leave it on forever (I'm not sure why they don't just ship it already on). Don't over-tighten or it looks like you might damage it. Then, you simply thread the line through the loops and attach a hook and/or other gear.The rod itself is excellent. It's easy to telescope it in/out and it mostly stays put while fishing. The rod is much longer than you'd expect, but still fine for a child. It's lightweight, and otherwise acts as a fishing rod should. Frankly, if the kids weren't with me there's no reason I couldn't use this rod as an adult (I'm not clear on how large a fish it could handle though and the line likely isn't super high strength). It's easy to cast and reel and the handle is foam padded for small hands.The tackle box comes with a bunch of hooks and fake lures, some weights and a small variety of other accessories. It also, more importantly, comes with some safety scissors which you'll need. I feel like most of this stuff young kids won't have any idea what to do with (some of it I had no idea what to do with... the bells?). But overall this tackle box is fine. The one exception is the standard red/white bobber which is completely useless... it won't even hold a single hook and lure up but will get dragged under such that you cannot see where your line is.The one thing they could have done better is an instruction guide for the children on how to setup the line... which lures, weights, bobbers, etc. to use in what situations and how to attach them. What normal setups should look like. I suppose they assume the parents will be knowledgeable and do such.Overall this is a great buy for young children, and the price is right.--- Pros ---- Great quality and appearance- Fast and easy 1-minute setup- Perfect for children, containing everything they need- Casts and reels easily. The rod works well.--- Cons ---- Should probably have included line setup instructions for children- Bobber is too weak

This is a light weight portable telescoping pole for beginners. I am an avid fisher who travels. I was in the market for a child’s pole that I can pack in my suitcase for my son. I settled on the Plusinno kids telescopic fishing pole. The whole fishing kit fits into about a 2ft carrying bag with room to spare for more gear or even another telescoping pole. The little beginner fishing box is awesome for a kid just getting into fishing as it has a little bit of everything. I was surprised how everything fit into the fishing box. The quality of the pole and the reel is better than I thought from the pictures online. I took it out to my pond behind my house and tried everything out. Casting the line out was very smooth and the retrieval of the line was just as smooth. After I got done playing with the pole, I gave it to my 11 year old son and he played with it for a while and the pole worked wonderfully. I live in Ohio and the ice is just coming off the pond so we didn’t catch anything. I can’t wait to see how this pole works with a fish on the other end. The only modifications I did to the pole was change the line out of the reel. I change the line in all pre spooled reels. It’s just something I do. I also plan on putting some dots on the pole to make it easier for my son to line up the eyelets with the reel and the other eyelets.I would definitely recommend this pole for an one looking to travel and fish. It is perfect for kids and adults looking to do some fishing while you travel.

Great starter kit for smaller kids getting into fishing. Great value for the money. We took it fishing with our 5 year old son and one of his friends (first time fishing for the friend). The friend used the kit and it worked perfect - no tangled wires and easy to get started ( tangled wire was a big problem when our son started out with a more traditional setup(. The kit is easy to use and after a little time he could cast fairly well.The rod is a telescopic rod, so it takes no room to bring along. We only used the bobbler with hook, and it worked well - The other accessories appears to be of good quality as well. Well we did not catch anything, but we had a great time fishing. Would definitely recommend this kit for kids starting fishing - it can also be a great little kit to have in the car as it takes virtually no room. If the opportunity shows while driving you can stop a fish :-)

The pole itself is pretty nice and does the job. Good for adults too. It cast and reeled smoothly. The carry case and the fact it is collapsible makes it easy to pack into a car. The "tackle box" is full of cheap stuff that more seem like toys than actual functional items. Overall, it makes a great little rod and real for kids that are beginning to learn to fish or adults that have been fishing for awhile.

*Update*I thought I could deal with the reel but is definitely isn’t made for the long haul. The handle started to bend and the line tangles.The reel would need a little work and it could be a longer lasting set. I will most likely upgrade to a spinning reel.Overall the entire package is a great buy. The portability of the rod, reel, and gear is surprising for a set geared towards kids.The reel is my only gripe. It is mainly made of plastic and seems clunky. The button casting for all three of my kids worked fine for them.I may replace the reel at some point but until then fish on!

The media could not be loaded. This is a great fishing rod and reel kit for a kid, but don't let the fact this is marketed for children fool you. This is a great looking rod and a good reel for anyone who likes to fish.All of this kit is set up well and planned to be usable out of the bag. The reel has line already installed, the tackle kit has everything you need to be able to catch a fish.The rod itself is beautiful, wonderful finish and wonderful feel - really, pictures don't capture the appearance well, this looks like a very expensive rod.

A najlepszą opinią niech będzie to, że po zobaczeniu wędki pierwsze pytanie córki brzmiało: "To jedziemy już na ryby? " :)

Eine super Angelset, alles was man braucht um den jüngsten das angeln beizubringen.Die Angel an sich ist in guter Qualität und stabil. Nur bei dem Zubehör müsste man ein paar Sachen austauschen ( die Pose) aber das meiste kann man gut gebrauchen. Alles in einem sorgt das Set für großen angelspaß.

Schon nach 2 Stunden Gebrauch zog die Rolle die Schnur nicht mehr ein. Eine große Enttäuschung für meinen Sohn, der sich die Angel extra für den Sommerurlaub zusammengespart hat.Update: wir haben die Angel zum 2. Mal bestellt. Das gleiche Problem. Absoluter Schrott!

Das Set spricht Kinder an. Also habe ich es für meinen 4 jährigen Enkel gekauft. Es wurde geliefert und die Pose war kaputt. Macht nichts habe ja genug eigene. Beim Angeln merkte ich, dass die Sehne auf der Rolle überdimensioniert ist. Also neue, feinere gekauft. Die Rolle lässt es scheinbar nicht zu, die Sehne aufzuspulen. Blöd, dass es keine Anleitung für die Kapselrolle gibt, nur eine in Englisch mit unnützen Tipps, wie geangelt wird. Brauche ich nicht. Im Internet nachgesucht. Die gefundenen Tipps lasen sich nicht an der Rolle umsetzen, da die entsprechenden Bedienelemente an der gelieferten Rolle nicht vorhanden sind. Ich würde den Quatsch am Liebsten zurück schicken, nur mein Enkel wäre sehr traurig, weil seine erste Angel nicht seine bleibt. Ich kann überhaupt keine Kaufempfehlung aussprechen, auch wenn die Angel und Rolle funktionieren.
