Now lock will not open with either combo. What do I do next to open it** A: If you read the instructions, if you forget the combination, you can open it by following the instructions. I’ve done this at least 4 times. The numbers are a little hard to see to line them up under the arrow. The numbers are shiny & easily read wrong in the bright light. But I really like mine. The cable is 5.5 inches long, has a metal twisted cable inside a clear, tough cover. **Q: what is the diameter of the cable?** A: The diameter is small, small enough to easily fit through the holes on luggage zipper pulls. Even though I haven't tried to, I'm guessing that wire-cutters would easily defeat the lock, but the same could be said for pliers on the solid-staple version. All this lock does is serve as a suggestion to use time more profitably elsewhere, but that can be enough. **Q: Would these hold up to outdoor use?** A: I would think so. Mine are used for regular travel **Q: Couldn’t someone just reset the passcode if they found it by pushing the button in and putting in a new code?** A: to what end? You have to have the code in order to reset the code. The only time the suitcase it's out of your control is when the TSA or baggage handlers have it. If the lock or case is open and there is a thief standing there, they will steal your stuff, not reset your lock code. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Perfect size and works exactly how i wanted it to! *by on Reviewed in the United States May 9, 2026* These are the perfect size for what i needed them for which was for my zipper on a bag with important items! Compatible with small holes. Very versatile in what you can use them for. The color looks very professional. It doesn't have batteries. The cord is long so it's easy to adjust. And it has a special section meant just for TSA where they can open it with a key so you don't have to give away your combination. The instructions for setting your combination are very clear but I did struggle at first, make sure it's completely lined up with the default combination or it won't work. But i needed this because it's locking my medication bag and I want to make sure no one can touch them for many obvious reasons. The lock exceeded my expectations and I highly recommend them for anyone looking for a small lock that can fit into zippers. 😊 ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Luggage Locks *by on Reviewed in the United States September 28, 2026* These luggage locks are TSA approved, they are durable - I ordered the purple color, they are visible to the eye but not too big and heavy. I recommend. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Love it! *by on Reviewed in the United States October 17, 2026* Love it! ## Frequently Bought Together - TSA Accepted Luggage Travel Lock, Set-Your-Own Combination Lock for School Gym Locker, Luggage Suitcase Baggage Locks, Filing Cabinets, Toolbox, Case (Black, 2 Pack) - Apple AirTag - Zpsolution Zipper Clip Theft Detterent - Keep The Zipper Closed - Zipper Pull Replacement --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.hu/products/21682731-bv-luggage-locks-tsa-accepted-open-alert-cable-lock-black](https://www.desertcart.hu/products/21682731-bv-luggage-locks-tsa-accepted-open-alert-cable-lock-black) --- *Product available on Desertcart Hungary* *Store origin: HU* *Last updated: 2026-10-28*
