I wanted a big, simple shoe rack for my family. I didn't want it to be: cheap, flimsy, or ugly.Wasn't impressed with what was for sale out there, and I'd need several to fit all of my family's shoes.So... found this great kit on Amazon along with the matching flanges. Grabbed some 2x12 lumber and screwed it together.It has a simple, clean industrial look. Real wood and very sturdy. I could have gotten all fancy with staining it and doing epoxy coating but I kept it simple.I was very happy with this kit! My shoe rack cost a fraction of what I'd pay for a "real" one.Bought some more, I am going to do another level and even make some more shoe racks for closets. This is a great kit.

These were fine. The company's fittings are very poorly made, though. Buy good ones in a plumbing dept. if you want straight and square connections.

I ended up returning these because I was concerned about the strength. These are great for book shelves, plant holders and room decor, but I intended on using them to make stair railing. When I tested them, they worked great, but I was concerned about the ability to handle 250 lbs of weight.Great product, but for medium loads only.

These pipes don't have tapered threads. This means that when you tighten the fitting, you don't see remaining threads. However, it also means that it is loose until it bottoms out in the fitting. Even then, with a little wiggling, it will come loose again. If you are making something that requires a specific alignment of the fitting and a snug fit that won't wiggle, these are hard to use.

This has a really nice finish . Its both sturdy and attractive Also, amazing packaging which demonstrated unique pride in the product. It was beyond expectations

The NPT threads are very short, definitely not to spec for any structural or fluid use. Works fine for a table or shelves. They do look good, being painted already. But the short thread engagement can cause a wobble at the joint, even if they are screwed tight. Typically, you want at least 1 diameter of thread engagement. So if you have a1" diameter thread, you want the thread to be 1" long. These are about half that.

I'm caretaker to a senior citizen who's often in danger of falls--something that would WRECK his life, should such a fall occur. Thus, I've installed GRAB BARS in showers and at dangerous points throughout the house. These bars, joined to "floor flanges," steel "nipples," and 90-degree steel "elbows," and attached to routered, cut-to-measure wooden 2" x 6" --screwed directly into the studs-- have added enhanced safety and piece of mind. Show your geriatric you love him or her! Install some grab bars! All of the components I mentioned in this review are available from this company (TZH) through Amazon. Hint: Spray everything except the black pipe gold that that "je ne sais quoi" glitter. x from Danforth
