she has a good voice
most of the songs are similar sounding. I wish she had shown her vocal range more.

Julie's voice is like butter and you will absolutely love this collection.
Not a bad track on this disk. Julie London was one of those Originals that I think to a degree was somehow underrated. She had a smooth smoky style to her voice and is no doubt the first lady of Lounge music. Hardest today such as Diana Krall clearly show signs of emulation of her style.

If you like Peggy Lee's or Marilyn Monroe's singing style, you should love this album!!
This album is great as easy-listening background music for meals, studying, or writing this review, for instance. Despite her film acting and public singing, Julie was basically very introverted in private, beginning as a little girl.Like Peggy Lee and Marilyn Monroe, who lived in the same period, her typical singing style is best described as intimately sultry. If you lived in the '50s and 60s, you should recognize most of the songs included. My impression is that she mostly took other people's hits and adapted them to her singing style. She was an actress, as well as singer. As a teen, she sang in nightclubs, as reflected in her singing style. She didn't start recoding songs until she was nearly 30, during the period of 1955-70. Unfortunately, like too many acting and singing stars of her times, she was a chain smoker and eventually died basically from lung cancer.
