No lock, BUT......
If, like me, you already have a lock welded to your gate (mine was a GTO by Mighty Mule® lock), you may not need to buy the Ghost Controls® lock, which doesn't come with their openers, and which is extremely overpriced at $238.00, compared to around $70 for most and even Mighty Mule® only wants $139.00 for theirs. The Ghost Controls® lock has a 3rd wire that they call a 'sense' wire, and without that wire, voltage to energize a lock's solenoid will not appear at the lock terminals on the Ghost Controls® board. But, the Mighty Mule® lock IS NOT POLARITY MINDED! And, as the Ghost Controls® opener closes the gate by reversing polarity to the motor control terminals on its main board, that same voltage can be used to provide the necessary voltage to the lock's solenoid. I have mine hooked up this way, and it works perfectly, withdrawing the lock and allowing the gate to open when I hit the remote, and also drawing it back, again, when the remote signals again, closing the gate and allowing the lock to pop back out and secure the gate upon closure - PERFECT. But, I should give a caution here. If Ghost Controls® is like other companies I've had to deal with in the past, they well may use the fact that you're doing this to void your warranty - so NEVER tell them you've done it, or at least call them and ask them if they'll still honor it, with a lock wired in this manner. (I hope they don't read this and void mine!!). In other respects, I do like the Ghost Controls®. I just think it's a shame that when asked about aftermarket locks, they won't tell you this! They simply tell you that only their lock can work with their gate openers!
