Shut The Box - The Popular Family and Friends Number Game

Best family game !! Super easy and fun for all ages

Fun for all ages! Great way to teach younger kids math as well.

We purchased two of these for our pub and we love them. The game is easy to learn and play and we use them often.

This is a game our family discovered when our kids were in grade school. It's fun, easy to learn and is great for learning number combinations at an early age. We taught it to our grandson when he was 4 and was just learning numbers, turns out he's quite brilliant in math and I think this game contributed. We bought a really nice game that's made to look antique and it's lovely but it was expensive (hadn't started on Amazon yet). We take games to our neighborhood pub to play with folks and Shut the Box quickly became popular but I didn't want to leave our pricey board there. For Christmas we decided to buy some games for the pub and I found this for a great price on Amazon. It doesn't have a lid like our other game but the tray is deeper, it's lined with fabric so the dice are quiet and the tiles are big and easy to read (I'm legally blind). We've had 1 problem with it though, the metal post that the numbers are attached to lost the end to keep it from coming lose so we have to make sure it's pushed in. Occasionally the tiles will suddenly fall and we have to coordinate positioning the tiles to line up with the post and the end hole. The box is wood so a dab of super glue or even fingernail polish would probably solve the problem. The best thing about this game and small children is that since the pieces and tiles are attached they can't be lost and the dice can easily be replaced.

I played this game at a friends house and I loved it. I brought it to work for a team building and EVERYONE had fun playing this game.

Decent quality. Some are hard to flip but this was not 9x9 it’s the smaller version. Disappointed cause I wanted the larger size but it will do.

this is not what you will be expecting. the box is tiny and the dice are cheap. the box does not have large enough sides so you will not be able to effectively throw the dice off the sides. I would not buy this again! I would advise you to keep looking. Best of luck.
