Initial Impressions
I bought the Homak RD00122504 Tool Box to replace my old 20" box from some 30+ years ago. I was not able to find any images of the Homak plastic lift out tray searching anywhere on the net. I even went so far as to call the company in Pennsylvania, however they did not have an image of the lift out tray either. This was important to me because my old lift out tray had a metal divider which got progressively narrower - which was ideal for holding 2 socket sets. I did note that another web site showed detail for other Homak models (BW00200200 and 00200240) which do have the progressively narrower divider in the lift out tray. However, when the new RD00122504 arrived and I opened the top I was disappointed since the plastic lift out tray has no similar divider suitable for holding my socket sets. I've uploaded pictures to be included for this model here in the future, showing the exact configuration of the RD00122504 lift out tray. The two rectangular areas measure 21" x 3" for a total of 126 square inches. This contrasts with my old 20" box which had a middle area of 4 3/4" x 14 1/4" (67.687 sq. inches) and two end areas of 6 1/2" x 2 1/2" (32.5 sq. in.) The handle in the middle does reduce the amount of useable area in the new Homak lift out tray.On first impression I also felt that the new lift out tray was much more shallow than my old 20" box. However, checking with a tape measure revealed this to be untrue - both are 3" in depth. When I actually transferred my tools from the old lift out tray to the new RD00122504 tray, I was surprised how much I was able to comfortably fit. By making use of the "storage bins" in the top of the tool box (for small tools), I was able to get everything from my old lift out tray into the new RD00122504 in an orderly manner. I was also able to use the narrow rounded areas running down the middle for smaller/shorter items. I found that I did not have to pile so many tools on top of each other. This resulted in almost all of the tools in the lift out tray being easily visible and therefore quicker to find. The interior of the box under the lift out tray is another matter. There is a LOT more room here. Not only is the new Homak 2.63" wider, but also a lot deeper from front to back as well. Again I did not have pile tools on top of each other, and there is a lot more room left for a lot more.Initially I was concerned about keeping very small tools in the "storage bins" in the top. After all, opening the tool box results in these being fully upside down - pointing to the floor/ground. However, the lid covering the boxes fits quite snugly, and the latches are very stiff and secure. I have not had any problem so far in keeping very small tools in these boxes in the top lid.Another improvement over my old box are the plastic cushions on the corners. These protect on the bottom as well and I do not have to be concerned about scratching surfaces where I put the tool box down as I did with my all steel old box.Be aware that this larger size tool box will hold a lot of tools, and this may well mean a lot more weight, as well. That big aluminum handle is not just for show!!

Like it very much
This box would have received 5 stars with a better latching system. So far so good but I am not keen on how much the top metal insert moves around.Item is roomy inside and does not take up a lot of space because it is tall as opposed to wide. I carry sewing items in it for my road gigs and it is great for this task. I removed the nice box style dividers in the top so I could place scissors and such where I can get to them without opening the whole box. Nice option making them come out.

Love This Toolbox
I loved it so much, I bought two. My old box wasn't big enough for all my tools. I put half of my tools in each, with the most frequently used on top.

Good for the price/what it is
Good for the price/what it is. The primary flaw is the latches - they are very flimsy, so I have serious questions about how they're going to hold up and feel like I really need to watch the weight of the contents inside. I will not be at all surprised if/when they fail (which will almost certainly be at one of those "worst possible moments"). The first toolbox I received actually came with a broken latch and had to be returned. It's a shame because this would be a decent toolbox otherwise.

Nice toolbox
Just a nice toolbox, it's nice to see that metal is still being used by some manufacturers and it's way nicer in person and plenty large enough to fit all your regular handtools with a full array of specialty tools for electrical, plumbing, etc. whatever your thing is, this is the kind of box that I would repair if something were to break, instead of trashing it like most brands, and even with ALL hand tools for the home and car it's still easily carried by most people and lockable to keep the wrong people from borrowing your stuff.

Junk
Latches are very low quality and bend easily. Tray is trash, falls through to the bottom because it's so thin and flimsy. Waste of money

Nice strong toolbox
So far this has been the best tool box I have owned. It's super strong, large enough to fit my drill, hammer, hacksaw and all of my other various tools. looks like this will be my last tool box. No more flimsy plastic ones for me.

Great toolbox
Fantastic toolbox. I had begun to think that 15 inch long toolboxes, that were deep as well, didn't exist, but this is just what I had been looking for. Tons of room.

junk
Light weight tin latches not even attached to the lid, just mearly slipped inside some grooves, the top lid exploded right open the minute I lifted the box up with tools in it, lid latches exploded off flying every which way, complete junk especially for the price, you'd be better off just not buying this, literally any tool box from any where else would be 1000 times better, super choked.
