My husband works outside and he always wares his shoe out because of the shovel. So this is a game changer. He says it works very well. Only thing I notice that the packaging says up to size 12 and my husband is a 13 so we had a little issue to put it on his work boot. It's snug so it's not going anywhere. They just need to put on there the size. Other then that it's great.

I use this device to tie baling wires. I work in a textile recycling plant. We have to tie the wires manually. This device makes it so my boots don't get cut up from tightening the wires on the bales. Great product.

Outstanding addition to the workboot and I'm glad I bought them, but they could use a couple design improvements.Can't get through tough sod or rocky soil without these babies: they're great. They've hugely reduced the amount of time, effort, and boot damage involved in heavy manual labour and I love them. My neighbours are astonished at how fast my landscaping is transforming, and it's largely due to how much easier digging and moving the sod and dirt is with these tools. Don't dig a ditch without these. Buy them.Cons:- You will need to use 1/4" rope to run through the straps to keep them secured as far back toward the heel of your boot as possible, otherwise they will constantly work themselves forward.- The extra elastic for the straps had to be secured up out of the way with electrical tape.- Designers should consider adding a lip or extension to help prevent the shovel from slipping between the boot heel and the sole saver. The metal is slick enough that one tends to slide a little and end up with the shovel trapped between the boot and the sole saver.- Needs to be sold with option to buy a pair.

They work great for digging in the garden. My arch used to hurt after digging (pushing the shovel in the ground with my foot), but now, it's much easier to plant or relocate plants and no foot pain.

I adjusted this to the tightest placement, but it would still slip when I tried to use it.

Its a simple and durable product. I started a landscaping job where we are in a lot of tight places where equipment can not fit, so we have to manually dig in tree holes. I felt confident smashing on a shovel all day, knowing I'm not going to hurt my foot or damage my boot. I particularly liked how it hugged the top of my foot for a comfortable fit. I'm a size 10.

Working installing irrigation means that I spend a lot of time digging. Trenching always wore out the soles of my boots. I would tear through the rubber and the steel shank in about six months of use, and a pair of boots would never last more than a season. With the sole saver I no longer tear through the soles of my boots, and they last much longer. I bought my first sole saver when the product was just becoming available before it was on Amazon, and have since bought a second one. My one complaint is that the straps eventually give out. Both of my sole savers the strap failed at the edge of the metal. I since learned how to replace the straps myself, and am confident that my sole saver will last me the rest of my working life. If you dig for a living, or have a job that wears out the soles of your work boots, this product is worth every penny!

The sole saver was a soul saver. It literally made my shoveling job a hell of a lot easier and more efficient. I would recommend this product to anyone who has consistent shoveling in a job to complete. Highly recommend!

Good quality. Disappointed with the adjustable strap which is suppose to 'fit all boots' as the picuture shows it is adjusted to its maxium length and just manage to get it fastened on a UK5 boot.

This thing makes any boot last longer than the most expensive work boots on the market. It pays for itself four times over before the end of its first season
