Inspired by the author
I heard the story of Chen Wei 8 years ago when I was in high school. Just like Wei, I did not imagine I would get a pilots license couple years later. A great motivational story told with life wisdoms.

Motivating Book
"Around The World in 69 Days" is an amazing book that truly motivates. As a pilot myself, part of the reason I purchased this book was to hear the stories of flying around the world. However, this book was so much more than that, it truly motivated me to attempt my "Big Hairy Audacious Goal!" I would recommend this book to anyone that is a pilot, or wants to hear about a really interested adventure of tackling your big hairy audacious goal.

Great story!
I met Wei on an international trip and knew he was special. It wasn't until I found this book that I knew how special. The American Dream is real and he is living proof. I really appreciate him taking the time to share his story and inspire people like me.

Excellent story about setting big hair audacious goals and achieving them
As a pilot, I especially appreciated the talk of the flying but the book is so much more than that. Everybody will identify with overcoming adversity and making your own luck. Wei Chen tells his story in a very unassuming tone that makes reading the story quick and enjoyable.

Inspiring and motivating
As the co-founder of the Earthrounders Association, I came across many books describing flights around the world, but none of them is so inspiring and so motivating. Not only the tale of a successful flight around the world but of a very inspiriting and successful life. Highly recommended.

and his obvious pride in his family and Chinese homeland are nice elements, too
The force of Wei Chen's enthusiasm, focus and determination drive this multi-faceted story. The centerpiece is an audacious tale of a relatively inexperienced pilot circumnavigating the globe in a single-engine aircraft. These traits enable him to bootstrap a successful business from scratch, providing the financial resources to permit the trip. They also enable him to fight through the innumerable regulatory and political obstacles to making the trip a reality - he treats the words "no" and "impossible" as opportunities. At key points, he is helped along by important collaborators who catch Chen's vision and enthusiasm. His dedication of the trip to the benefit of St. Jude Children's Hospital, and his obvious pride in his family and Chinese homeland are nice elements, too.All in all, an enjoyable, inspirational read.
