Great tasting coffee but be careful!
So I'm gonna start by saying this does make your coffee taste great, there's no doubt. Brings out so many different notes etc. But don't have it for every coffee, especially if you are taking multi vitamins and electrolyte supplements as I discovered, it contains magnesium so may push you over your RDA. Be careful with anything that has additional minerals / vitamins etc.

I use it for RO water
I use it with RO water and after adding enhancer coffee extraction is much better and the flavour is superb. Not much more to say to be honest - it does work and thats all it counts

Game change
If you live in an area that doesn’t have great water this is a game changer. I was previously using a Brita filter and using Third Waves Water after that I felt like a short-sighted person that had just put their glasses on. Coffee extraction with TWW is a totally different experience.

More than just a noticeable difference in flavour!
I can’t help but be annoyed at how good Third Wave Water is, annoyed because it’s far too expensive for what it must cost to make. I estimate the cost of a single cup of the Maragogype coffee I am using right now to be 54p for the coffee, 10p for the Third Wave Water, 3p for the Zero Water filter cartridge, 2p for the paper coffee filter and between 1p and 3p for the power to the kettle (1p to reheat 500 ml versus 3p heat 1000ml from ambient). Is the Third Wave Water 20% as valuable as the coffee itself? Unfortunately it is. Adding Third Wave Water, the coffee becomes sweeter, rounder, fuller. I am not sure the vocabulary to use but definitely much less of what I don’t like about coffee and somewhat more about what I do like about coffee. If I wanted to save money it would make more sense to downgrade the coffee I’m using rather than eliminate the Third Wave Water. So I’m forced to give it a strong positive recommendation, even a solid recommendation regarding value for money, because it delivers an extraordinary benefit to each cup of coffee—but it certainly didn’t cost 10p to make! So I’m annoyed!

A Necessity for Me
After years of trying to get good coffee with my areas super hard water and a Brita filter, I tried this with a Zero filter and the difference is night and day. I did a blind taste test today, to see if I could avoid paying for this, and unfortunately for my bank account, I could easily tell the difference. Even when mixing water from the Zero filter with plain tap water to get the same hardness, I can still tell the difference.

Mineral water works better, this adds a sour taste…
Honestly, I’m not impressed. I’ve had better results from brewing with ordinary mineral water, such as Evian, than this. Not cheap either and if you find it’s not for you, it’s exempt from Amazon’s return and refund policy! If you’re serious about brewing, try mineral water before you try this, you might save yourself some money!
