The Complete Book of Spells: Wiccan Spells for Healing, Protection, and Celebration

After a few delays in delivery, I finally received this new book yesterday. I’ve definitely been looking forward to reading this.This is a very concise book, in the beginning Deborah does touch on the history of modern Wicca/Witchcraft in a simplified manner that isn’t dumbed down. This books main purpose isn’t a deep study in Wicca, it’s a collection of everyday spells and magical recipes that any witch can use. No matter what your path is.She starts out the first and second chapters dealing with the basics of spell work that you’ll need; tools, space, self, and covens. The chapters that follow are filled with some interesting and eclectic spells for everyday life.While there are your traditional workings (love, money, etc), there are also spells and workings in here that are not ones you would think of immediately; (parking spot safety, anti-theft talismans, stoping smoking, etc.). I found many of the spells in here to be very interesting, useful, and sometimes fun. Throughout the book, she also includes recipes for various oils and sprays to use alongside your spell-work. In the final chapter she includes the prerequisite Sabbats and Esbats to cap off much of what you’ll read and learn through the book.Personally, I am very glad to have this book on my shelf. I think that Deborah has not only written a very good beginner book that’s a great resource for a new generation just starting their practice, but also for those who are established in their work and need the occasional “off the wall” spell that you would have never thought of.

I am greatful for being able to read this book. It was very understandable and I took in everything from it.

I love the feel of this book. Heavy weight paper in a font that is easy to read (even by candle light).No matter what your origins or practice this book is useful as it provides structure to compose something for every application. Even though nothing can cover every situation, this gives you a skeleton to dress as the need requires.I also love the down to earth tone of the writing. I feel like I am taking one of Deborah's classes.Thank you for this valuable reference.

I've been a beginning witch for sixty years, but this book will help my witchy journey. It's a keeper, but keep track of it if you loan it out.

Fun to read

This is a book that breaks down spells and Wicca in a clear and simple way for all readers. It is beautifully written with graphics just as engaging as the writing. You can feel the authors love for her craft in the pages. It almost feels like ready your grandmothers old recipe book, the down home warmth and history that you feel while reading it is amazing. Great read. Great resource!

It has some good starter spells. A good beginning book with information. Worth adding to your library.

Such an easy read and most of the ingredients are easy to source.
