Non-food grade Annatto Seeds Powder (INCI: bixa orellana seeds powder) for natural dyeing. Annatto (INCI: bixa orellana), a plant in the bixaceae family, produces red-orange seeds that are used for food coloring and dyeing. Annatto seeds, also known as sinduriya, are very hard and contain Bixin, a yellow-orange pigment. Bixin produces yellow color when hot infused in water or in oil. Remember, annatto seeds are hard and hence, need to be ground first before use. It is also very sensitive to light and washing and therefore, it is best to avoid frequent washes and direct, harsh sunlight. For coloring soap, annatto whole or powder can be steeped in oil; either a cold or a hot infusion or made as a thick decoction with water.

Its nice but It gives lighter shade than what's shown in pictures.
It gave me a light shade inspite of mixing enough amount of powder. So if you're looking for one which gives light shade then this is the right one. Don't expect a dark shade as shown in pictures. But the colour is nice, it gave very light red to light red shade.
