Product Description Use TitanRF Faraday Fabric to Create Your Own Radio Frequency Shielding Enclosure Mission Darkness TitanRF Faraday Fabric offers the next generation of faraday shielding and is certified to military standards MIL-STD-188-125, as well as IEEE 299-2006. This compliance measure not only ensures that the fabric shields against high-altitude electromagnetic pulses (HEMPs) and related occurrences, such as coronal mass ejections (CMEs), electrostatic discharges (ESDs), and solar flares, but provides concrete proof to the shielding ability and effectiveness of the fabric. TitanRF Faraday Fabric uses a copper and nickel composition to shield radio signals from low MHz all the way up to 40GHz. This is the same fabric that is used by military and law enforcement forensics investigators to block all wireless signals, including cell phone, WiFi, Bluetooth, and GPS. It is also used by civilians for EMP protection, personal data and identity protection, signal isolation in secure facilities, RF isolation for hardware and software testing, harmful EMF radiation reduction, anti-credit card skimming, digital privacy, and more. Review: Does the job it is designed to do - I have just made a cover to protect my solar generator from EMPs, a necessary precaution in today's unstable world. After making a one-layer cover, I tested it by covering the generator with my phone attached to it. I then got someone to dial my phone... which never rang! I was really surprised, as there is only one protective layer of Faraday Fabric so far. I will prepare a second layer for peace of mind, but I believe that this first result is indicative of the quality of the Faraday Fabric. Well worth the investment.

**Q: How can i test that the fabric shields from emf? i covered a mobile phone with it, but all calls still go through. i am worried.**
A: Hi,

So the fabric would need to be several layers thick with absolutely no air gaps to block a modern cell signal. The thing is for even the most severe emp you only need to attenuate around 50 or 60 decibels in order to prevent damage to electronics. Just one layer of the emp fabric is enough for that. The ability to completely block a cell signal is more of a gimmick than anything and really not needed to protect your gadgets from an emp. Hope this helps.

**Q: Does this fabric need to be grounded via ground wire in home electrical outlets?**

I have just made a cover to protect my solar generator from EMPs, a necessary precaution in today's unstable world. After making a one-layer cover, I tested it by covering the generator with my phone attached to it. I then got someone to dial my phone... which never rang! I was really surprised, as there is only one protective layer of Faraday Fabric so far. I will prepare a second layer for peace of mind, but I believe that this first result is indicative of the quality of the Faraday Fabric. Well worth the investment.
