The Good: My family had a large number of these old camcorder cassettes from the 80s and early 90s, but they weren't labeled properly, so we didn't know what was on them. We finally did something about it and bought this tape converter. The mystery has been solved. It takes a single AA battery to power the small mechanics inside to properly prepare the film for the VCR, and I love watching it unspool every time. Ok. Makes film jumpy but at least I can watch my videos.

The original one was lost. This replacement works as well as the orginal and I am able to view the tapes in a VCR.

Turns out I didn't need it but these are just soo expensive. The product is good, just costs to much for what it does

I had about 12 videos to convert. I stuck the batteries in and went to work. I did the work over a few days. I had no issues with any tape. This adaptor is solid quality and got the job done.

When you put in a VHS-C cassette, the adapter is supposed to stretch the tape to fit the VHS size. It worked fine out of the box but after 2 cassette switches, it stopped working. The hatch / door wouldn't lock and the VHS-C tape wasn't loaded (even though the adapter did make some noises). I turned to the manufacturer (Jaras) and they offered a replacement but that didn't happen eventually because they don't ship replacements outside the US. I'm disappointed.

Only used once and broke. Got a complete refund. I can't say its ok because the 1st time used broke. Got money back. Maybe I just got a lemon who knows ?

Works well so far, but this is not built to last.
