Westworld: S3: The New World (DVD)

If you're looking at the buying season 3 of Westworld you're not going to be disappointed, it follows the storyline from Westworld season one and season two I found season 3 to be more action oriented because they finally left the confines of the park. The 4K version which is primarily the reason I bought it is because I want to put my brand new smart TV to good use has awesome 4K resolution, Dolby vision HDR if you have a compatible player as well with standard HD are making the picture bright and colorful. I don't want to give too much of the series away but the robots are now trying to find purpose and ways to live in the real world now that they left the park. Some of them want to dominate humanity, while others want to work with humans which causes a conflict.

Waiting on season 4, It's that good.

Westworld: S3: The New World (Blu-ray + Digital): Supremely good picture & sound on my mid-level set up, amp, 4k player & 55" Visio OLED. No issues with media, packaging or delivery. As a lifelong sci-fi nerd, I bought this season mainly for the visuals of future Los Angeles. Many sites are clearly recognizable areas that I frequent in the present. The battle scenes, as always, were h-u-g-e! But as much as I enjoyed watching, it's (d)evolved with a lot of time devoted to the philosophical nature of consciousness & (im)mortality. Then again, that's probably the whole point of the epic.

Not as good as 1st two seasons but look forward to the next season.

I am one of the people who loved how in-depth (some called it slow) the first 2 seasons were. Those 2 seasons made this one of my top shows ever. This season feels completely rushed, and rarely tries to connect to the other 2 seasons. I guess I felt like this latest one is borderline insulting in how dumbed-down it is. The first 2 felt like a plausible future, this one just feels like a bad b-movie sci-fi show. Even the music score is terrible. I haven’t looked but I bet that it’s a different director. Still giving it 3 stars because I am holding out hope that this was a fluke and that they bring back the intelligence and surprising emotional depth. The first 2 were really a scathing commentary on how low human beings and greed can go if unchecked. This one is more bang bang shoot’em up.

3 S Westworld have grate cast. Not that deep philosophical like S1 or S2 but steal worthy to watch.

No sé si esta temporada podría haberse llamado Westworld donde el parque temático prácticamente es inexistente. Los valores de producción están muy bien, pero el personaje de Aaron Paul y que la trama se haya ido fuera Westworld gue lo que me dejó con una rara sensacion. No sé qué rumbo tomará con la Cuarta Temporada pero si alguien me pregunta acerca de esta serie es que la mejor la vea como una serie inconclusa mirando sólo la primera temporada. Y si les apetece algo más, con la segunda y ya está.

Humm I've watched this twice and I'm still confused! Switching from one time zone to another is OK when you know what's going on but this really did my head in! I'm still none the wiser and I don't think I would watch it again. Disappointing.
