Qnap Qsw-1105-5T, 5 Port 2.5Gbps Auto Negotiation (2.5G/1G/100M), Unmanaged Switch

This product is plug and play. There's nothing to configure as it's a dumb switch. Connect your 2.5Gbps network cards to this and watch the data fly! As easy a network upgrade as it gets, this has been running my core network at home for a couple of weeks now with zero issues. I get better throughput on the desktop with a 2.5Gbps NIC than I do on my laptop with a USB 3 2.5Gbsp NIC but I'm pulling at least 1800Mbps. Highly recommended for small installations that need high speed.

Easy to install, I'm only using 2 ports at the moment and not the full 4. I read a few reviews which stated itll fail but so far i havent had that happen yet. Will update when it does

I am getting file transfers averaging over 100MB/s whilst transferring 60+GB Photo folders. Just as a test I replaced it with a 1Gb switch and this speed dropped to 40MB/s. A little expensive but much cheaper than a 10Gb if you value speed and of course your time.

Added this to my 10Gbe network at the end to connect to a pair of NAS and a wired connection to a laptop all on 2.5 Gbe (so I have one port vacant) , So there's a 10Gbe into a Zyxel multi gig switch that then connects via the 2.5Gbe to this pile of poo.Starts off and all works well for a couple of hours then both NAS disconnect. I cycle this switches power and all is good, a few hours later it does it again, I swap the ethernet cables and the ports, just to try to isolate the fault, all works well for a couple of hours then it locks up again, now the loop light is on. (There is 100% not a network loop on my setup), cycle power and swap ports again, all is good then it does it again and again.All I can say is if you are thinking of buying one of these just don't. One of the worst pieces of garbage I have ever used. Sending it back for a refund.

Stable 2.5G speed, recommend.

Used to avoid the need for re-wiring part of the house. Downstairs server comms now running at about 10x prior speed. Putting it another way. 60 minutes becomes 6 minutes. 3 hours become 15 minutes. Useful for copying big chunks of data around. Servers at each end are Synology.

I persevered with this for several months, wondering if the problems were due to other parts of my home network. Eventually replaced it with a vimin 2.5gb switch which was 30% cheaper and 100 % reliable! The QNAP locked up many times a day, whilst rebooting it restored the speed, remotely I could not do this and was left with 100mb/s many times! ALso seemed to get quite hot. The Vimin is the opposite, 2.5gb all the time, no lock ups, no problems. The only reason i didnt give it one star was because it worked, but only at 1/25th of the speed after the many lock ups!

Der Switch macht was er soll - dabei ist diese Version für einen 2.5g Switch sehr sparsam. Der Datendurchsatz entspricht dem rechnerischem Maximum. Handwarm - mir persönlich sind die LED`s zu hell.

Rispetto agli switch gestiti e non da 1 Gbit questi switch da 2,5 Gb/s sono alquanto cari. Però, se necessitate di un buon throughpout per collegare diversi apparecchi e nel contempo sfruttare un transfer rate di buona livello questi switch sono semplicissimi da usare ed installare. Attaccate i cavi ethernet e la presa di corrente e siete pronti. Non raggiungono la massima velocità di 2.5 Gb, ma ci vanno molto vicini (ho misurato circa 2.3 Gb/s) con cavi CAT 5E.

Avec l'arrivé de ma nouvelle Box qui dispose d'un port 2,5Gb et qui propose un débit descendant de 2Gb, j'ai pris ce switch QNAP pour passer mon réseau local en 2,5Gb, j'avais déjà des câbles ethernet cat 7 prêts.Installation on ne peut plus simple (on branche, il démarre), mes équipements en 2,5Gb sont bien reconnus (couleur verte) et ceux encore en 1Gb aussi (couleur ambre). Les débits sont bien respectés, je retrouve les 2Gb/s de ma Box sur mon PC connecté à la Box via le switch.Au vu de certains commentaires j'étais un peu anxieux en achetant ce switch, mais après trois jours de fonctionnement, je suis très satisfait, il ne chauffe pas vraiment et je n'ai pas rencontré de problème de déconnexion. De là à ce que mon prochain NAS soit un QNAP avec port 2,5Gb...il n'y a plus qu'un pas que je franchirai si le switch tient bien sur la durée.
