We bought this when our pet seat cover- Solvit 62313 Waterproof Bench Seat Cover for Pets - tore at the top (where it hooks to the neck part of the seat). There were some other things we were looking for when purchasing the next seat cover. First, make sure the dog doesn't slip. (The last one was made of this hard polyester type material and the dog constantly was sliding around-this is a 70lb puppy- Akita sliding around in the back). The next feature we wanted was something that had more of a hammock so he would have a little more protection from falling forward and potentially off the seat. Finally, we wanted something that was softer material (not as stiff in the washer) and more comfortable for the dog to sit on. The color works perfectly, because I don't want the back to look like it's covered in white and brown dog hair. (i.e. not a black seat cover).This had all those requirements and decent reviews so we purchased it.I'm glad we did, because this is a great seat cover.He doesn't slide, it's nice and soft (has a little padding to it), but mostly I feel like he has more stability.The hammock part is very nice too, as he's not slipping his paws off the edge and when he wants he lays down quite nicely.So far, it seems durable, the last one tore pretty quickly, where this one is looking pretty strong.The only thing I wish it had was hooks at the bottom to attach to the seat, so it wouldn't flip up in the middle or move around. The Solvit 62313 bench cover, did have those hooks which made it pretty secure as far as attaching to the bottom part of the seat.It's quiet too. No weird crunchy sounds or sounds of the dog sitting on it, like the last would hear him moving around.Overall, I really like this product and would recommend it to someone else. It's not super stiff either, more like a firm blanket that if you put in the wash, cleans well and is ready to be used again. Haven't had any issues with liquid, so I can't tell you how absorbent it is, if something happens I'll add to the review. Although, I will say, the last one kept the smell of the dog, which every single time you got in the car it just smelled of dog. This one, I don't smell the dog, which is a REALLY nice bonus!Hope this review helped.

This is the 2nd hammock I've purchased for my car and I like that it is soft and lays gently on the seat - it does not slide when our 2 dogs (80 and 40 lbs) jump in. It keeps their hair from blowing around in the car, which I really appreciate. I've washed it (only once so far) and it has held together well. It looks nice in my black car. The first hammock I had was nylon and you could hear every move my dogs made, and they never really seemed to be comfortable on it. They seem to really like this one and how soft it is.I wish that it were a bit wider, or went down the sides of the seat for more protection (I have a 2011 Outback). It also would be nice if the buckles had a quick release. The seat belt openings allow for dog hair to get down into my seat, but that is minor, as it protects the seat from mud and dog slobber (our 80 lb mutt drools a lot). It does not keep the dogs from jumping in the front seat, or from rummaging thru what might be on the floors in the back seat, but as a comfortable seat protector, it does the job! It doesn't seem to get too hot in the sun either, which is a bonus b/c the dogs go just about everywhere I go.

We have now used this seat cover for 6 months with our arthritic golden retriever and it has greatly improved his comfort in the car. We have an SUV with a fairly tall back seat and he had trouble getting comfortable for long rides and was a very nervous passenger, always slipping around. The hammock gives him great comfort and security and allows him to stretch out without falling forward and easily get up to stick his head out the window (all dog owners know how much their precious pooches love this!). I love the quilted surface because he can grip it -- his paws don't slide around like on the bare car seat or the canvas hammock my daughter uses for her dog. We take off the front seat strap to allow him to climb in, then easily pop it over the headrest to make the hammock. My only issue is that he loves to poke his head between the front seats and when he presses his paws in the spot over the well there, it creates enough pressure to loosen the straps over the front seats (he's 95 lbs). We solved this by putting a small cooler under that spot which keeps his paws at the same level as the back seat. I highly recommend this product!

I have had several covers for the backseats of my Jeeps to protect the leather from my dogs. Some fitted which never seem to stay on and other hammock types. This is the best one I've had yet. The fabric is very soft and velvet-like so my girls don't slip all around on it. All the canvas ones I've had in the past have not given them much traction at all. And unlike fitted ones, this one can be easily taken off if you have humans in the car. This one is great!

I bought this product via Amazon about a month ago. It shipped quickly and was exactly what I expected. I have an Acura RDX and it fits perfectly in my back seat. I love the color- it's a beautiful rich tan that compliments my tan leather seats. I leave it up all the time and only take it down when guests ride in the backseat. It's very easy to install and take out. I've washed it twice. I just threw it in the washing machine and dryer and it came out great. No shrinkage and looks like it did when I bought it. My dog gets car sick so it is important that it washes well. The first time that she got sick it held everything, but the second time (a bigger mess) some dampness soaked through by the time I got home. The product did a great job of protecting my seats and I only had to use wipes to wash the dampness off. I did want to note that it wasn't totally waterproof though. I would highly recommend this product and I am even thinking of getting a second one.

This is the second of these I have purchased for our second car. The first one has been used extensively and is still like new.This is an excellent product.
