STEM Through the Months - Winter Holidays

I really liked the calendar of Monthly and Weekly Special days, many holidays and special days if you will, and the extensive lessons for the December holidays alone was terrific. The "Make and Do" for the holidays are wonderfully creative lessons which will totally hold the interest of the students. The Science Lesson which had 1/2 the class experiencing discrimination was cleverly creative and definitely caused awesome thought processes and reasoning taking place in the minds of the students. The Learning Standards at the back of the book are especially helpful to newer teachers because the Common Core Math, Language Arts-Literature are shown in addition to the ISTE Technology Standards and NGSS and ETS1 Science and Engineering Standards for 2015. I wish I'd had a book like this when I was teaching. Now I know to also look at some of the other books written by the same authors. I found myself feeling very creative as I thumbed through the book at first, and then after really taking a good look at this publication, I realized what a great book it was!

This is a terrific book that I look forward to using with my students. Very user friendly and creative with great ideas which are easy to implement. I anticipate an enthusiastic response from my students. Although we have a STEM program at our school this book provides nice additional lessons for teachers to further enhance STEM lessons and activities which are holiday centered.

Another great resource! Very innovative, wonderful ideas to encourage learning and creativity. Definitely recommend Stem as a valuable teaching aid!
