Great replacement handle, fit perfectly in my 2007 Silverado 2500HD Classic.
Great inexpensive replacement part. Like many my handle got brittle over the years and once day I went to grab it and it snapped clean off. The install was easy, good alignment and fitment, locking portion worked, I think the best part is that it comes it the little red and green tabs that hold the metal rod. Mine were also falling apart due to age.

Exact fit on my 2004 Silverado
I do not recommend over Torquing the bolts. You have to use your old bolts. So clean the threads up with a wire brush. My tactile nerves and muscles are telling me that these threads just might strip out easily. I suspect "Chinesium" alloy. Other than this list of my misgivings, it works - now I can sell my truck with one less thing wrong with it.

ITS A TAILGATE PARTY !!!
Quality replacement part. My tailgate latch broke and would not go into tge normal locked position. This part was the perfect easy and durable fix. I'm a female and installed this all my myself. I used 2 tools and had it installed in 8 minutes (includes removal of broken part). All pieces were in perfect alignment with holes. Easy to grip; smooth to release locking mechanism. Appearance is black with sone shine. Great value for the price.
