What I really wanted was a digital measure if idve realized that when you draw out the tape the readout doesn't go up or down idve bough the other type

Nice unit, almost same size as a normal tape measure but with the added advantage of a laser measurement. A belt buckle is included.Charged the battery with a normal phone charger. Comparing the tape to laser measurement, I had to recalibrate the laser slightly but the instructions are quite straightforward.I can now measure without annoying the wife to hold the other end of the tape!

Moving to a new home and needed this for measuring rooms etc. It's perfect, charges fast and actually easy to use.Ok, I'll say this: instructions and screen are very small, so I understand people may not all be able to read properly. That aside, it's the perfect tool to get quick measurement of a room.

We are currently redecorating so I decided to get this laser measure for my partner to help with measuring the walls and ceilings quickly, and without my help. I was fed up with the calls 'can you come and hold this for me?' when using a standard tape measure!To check the accurately we did actually measure manually first with the metal tape measure; and then after setting up the metric measurements, did the same with the laser; both measurements identical, so he was quite confident to use the laser measurements alone. Basics like length and height were all we need here but it can also calculate area measurements, ideal for new floor coverings, I thought.The LED screen at the side shows the measurements clearly; run by a rechargeable battery which appeared to be topped up when it arrived; a USB cable is included for recharging; plus a clip that slides into the back to secure to a belt, if required.There doesn't seem to be any way of storing the measurements, so they do need to be noted down as soon as they appear on screen, which is the way we do it anyway. However collecting the correct figures has made the ordering quicker, and dare I say probably more accurate.

To big, to difficult to use, returned for refund

Seems pretty useful and accurate enough to not bother contorting yourself to find out how far you sit from your TV - although in most cases the tape measure will reach too. Can’t speak for the longevity as I’ve only received it today, but it appears and feels to be made of sturdy stuff. For those that say the instructions are printed too small to read even with their glasses on, I’ve included an image for you to d/l and keep on your device.Have a prosperous 2021 everyone.

Bought this when I moved into a new home so that I could quickly and easily measure all of the windows for built-in blinds. All done in minutes and solo; you don't need a second person to hold the other end of the tapemeasure.I also used it to set up (exactly) the distances from my seating position in the lounge, when configuring the distances for my home cinema speakers.Recommended.
