I bought these for people who want a TV or bookshelf backlight, and this kit is very bright and works well. They are standard style strip lights, with a layer of silicone protection on the LED itself, making it more suitable for more humid areas in your home. I use cable hooks to keep none of these. So far, they have no problems, and there is no risk of dropping or puncturing the test strips and shorting the test strips. I was really surprised.

I have bought at least 5 other sets of LED lights and this was the best. First, it allowed me to plug the other lights into that one. Next, it had adhesive on the back of the control box. finally, it had extra connecters in the box. I wish I had bought these before the others.

The light strip was as advertised, was easy to install and works great. I do have one minor issue with it. I have a LG smart TV without the Magic Remote . So have the light in and cycling through the various colors, when I turn the TV on the lights go to light blue and stay on that color when I press the ok button to select and app they blink and stay blue, when I use the arrow keys it goes back to multi color and fades one color to the next but once I select a video to watch and hit ok it goes back to blue. This is my second set of light on the back of my flat screen. I always leave them on especially at night I think it make a good night light. And the fade changing color look like the tv is on when we are not home through the windows. My solution is a small rubber cap to cover the IR sensor easy to get in or off if I need to make a change which I rarely do, I like the fading in and out of various colors.

Pretty cheap LEDs. Definitely would use outdoors as this has a factory stink to it that takes well over 2 weeks to dissipate. This is literally the only thing that is letting this kit down and made my rating 3 stars. Don't believe they use 3M VHB on the LED strip but maybe an a similar kind of an 3M automotive trim adhesive. Still amazed they can provide 3M adhesive of ANY KIND for this pricing($7 for me, your price may vary) and give you a good kind for a LED strip. Only adhesive that is a downer is the one attached to the little white receiver box but it is good that it has loops built in for the use of small trim nails. The adhesive attached to the drywall but it felt very weak. Pro tip, use a bolt as a punch for the hammer so you don't damage the case plastic. If you plan on using outside make sure to electrical tape and silicone all connections against moisture to prevent corrosion. Especially the 4 pin LED connector. That can come undown and electrical tape is good for this to keep it together.If you plan to use inside, at least sit the LED strip outside for a few days before setting up. Other than the smell that has finally mostly gone away after 2 weeks everything in this kit works well. No problems with remote like other said. Just don't expect a perfect white. The default in a bluish white. It took me a little fiddling with the color balance on a custom preset on the remote to get the white you see here with a bit of blue still in it. This is due to only having 3 color LEDs in one LED instead of the RGB and a white LED. You have to buy a different kit for that. So it isn't perfect.

These are super cool lights. They adhere to the wall/ceiling well. We mounted them on the wall right below the ceiling line since we have popcorn ceilings. The remote has so many options for brightness and blinking speed and color. Would be a 5 star rating if the connector for connecting the two strips was better. It is a long connector and does not look good on the ceiling. There is no option to make it shorter. Nothing can cover it due to length and shape. The length of the connectors are too long and not necessary. Would have been better if they just connected together with no wires. Other than that we love the lights!

The product snapped when I tried to put it ok a corner and now only a small section of the lights work. The remote control feels flimsy and it was peeling away when I opened the package. The buttons only occasionally work and this isn’t just me not being in line of sight from the receiver, they work occasionally. The adhesive ripped paint off my walls but worked okay. I tried emailing customer service and never heard back. Also, all of the 5 star ratings are people who are being told to review 5 stars for a partial refund or a gift card. I heard that this could cause an issue with Amazons TOS but who knows :).

My first order of these lights didn't work. My money was refunded and I ordered a new set. They worked for 2 months, and then 1/2 the strip just stopped working.

This light is amazing and very cool. I have been using it for a couple of months and I use it every night in my room. It has many different colors to choose from and I choose them according to my mood. The remote control is very easy to use. The remote control has very strong connection problem and can be used from far distance as well. I have decorated my room with it and it adheres to wall very easily. The stripe has very strong glue and the installation is very easy as well. It has other options as well such as fade, flash, and many more. TV remote also can be used to change the light option. For the price, it is an amazing buy for any time of light strip. The most amazing thing is that I can increase or decrease brightness which is not found in most lights.
