needs a better remote control
This light is cool!!! All of the functions work properly. It is very bright. I have a 30000 gallon in ground pool and it lights up the whole pool very well! The red is the only color that doesn't light up tho whole pool, I suspect that it has something to do with the wavelength of red light. The only places I can see room for improvement is maybe somehow boosting the output of the red color light. And also boosting the power of the remote control. Mine will not change the settings of the light unless it is right next to the light. I had to buy a waterproof cell phone pouch and completely submerge the entire remote to put it next to the light for it to operate the functions. Perhaps they could make the remote waterproof. Overall I do recommend this light. I would give it a 3.5 out of 5 stars.

Set it and forget it
Yes the remote is the weak link but it does work. In our case I don’t change the color frequently. I’ve found the color that enhances our pool to our liking and leave it there. I placed the antenna in the water set the color and done. There’s no need to reset each time the lights come on. Color is rich and with two of these our pool is full of color.Longevity is unknown for now but I’ll update in the future of any issues.

Remote doesn’t work
The bulb works and lights up pool, however, the remote does not work. And in order to turn on/off, dim the light, or change the color, you must use the remote. So still have to go to pump house to turn pool light on or off and bulb does not dim using pump house dimmer switch (slider).Provided remote is entirely ineffective for me whether submerged in provided case directly adjacent to bulb or out of case with antenna extended or in water above bulb.In effect this is an $80 pool bulb without any of the advertised functionality.Bummer

Works......
Bulb is pretty awesome actually. Can’t speak about longevity, but it was easy to install and worked when power was turned back on.Now for the remote.....yep, it sucks. My little trick was to wrap a really long piece of tin foil around the tip of the antenna and held it down by the light......BOOM, worked. Silly that this day and age I literally had to go 70’s vibe but alas, it worked.

Awesome upgrade to pool lighting
The media could not be loaded. I’mLoving this lighting upgrade to my pool. These color changing LED lights are exactly what I wanted to complement the lighting in my backyard. They were easy to install. There’s times of YouTube videos on how to do this. I replaced the gasket as recommended by most.I had an issue with the remote not working at all. A replacement was mailed as soon as I alerted the seller of this issue. Remote works fine. The range isn’t all that as I still have to be close to the pool, but it works. I can change the mode, turn the lights off etc without having to go to my pool lighting switch which is towards the furthest corner of the property.

I dont get it
I buy a light with a remote control. I DONT expect one of tbe troubleshooting options to be submerging said remote to get it close to the light so it connects??? Ya think guests paying $600 per night would appreciate thatclassy move. In any event, the light is greatm it works flawlessly with switch alone. I do counsel businesses and I would tell your investors or board- lose the remote. It's brought your brand down as you can see from multiple reviews, you sent me an entire new assembly at your expense. Finally reassign the genius who let a remote accompany an otherwise good product befire it was ready fir primetime to a place he or she cannot do any more damage.

Medium brightness in white, green, blue. Very low red output.
I tested 6 different pool lights while searching for the right one for me. This one gets high marks for including a watertight pouch to house the remote control. This is spelling it out without actually saying it... these remotes will probably not work unless you use them right next to the light under water... To me, I would rather have a decent power cycling method for changing modes anyway which this one has.Unfortunately, this light had 2 fatal flaws for me.1. The light output of red was significantly lower (<50% using a LUX meter in a controlled test bench setup) than the 6 other lights I tested. Maybe mine was a defect??2. It did not have a gradual transition of colors in it's light shows. Fade to black and quick color jumps are not pleasing to my eyes.

Works really well
This light was a replacement for an overpriced piece of junk Pentair light. I paid almost $500 for a Pentair color changing light that lasted less than a year. I replaced it with a standard pool light. A friend recommended this light. All you have to do is screw it in, very easy install. The remote works at the actual switch not closer to the light itself. All the colors are bright and it’s pretty customizable. I’m very happy with it so far.
