アルバムの各曲については、他の皆さんが述べているので、自分なりの感想を書きます。全体を通して言えるのは、楽曲が素晴らしいこと。歌も演奏も安心して聞いていられます。あのコーラスの上手さは、半端じゃないです。あんなに緻密に、繊細な感じでコーラスが出来る人は他にはいないのではないでしょうか？楽器もマルチにこなしているところが流石。特にギターは、ご本人は雑誌のインタビューで「ヘタウマ」と謙遜していらっしゃいましたが、あのコードカッティングは、味があってカッコいいですね。これは私の勝手な想像ですが、ジャズの理論を相当勉強されたのでは・・・？あと驚いてしまうのは、英語の発音の上手さ。shogunの吉野藤丸さんも英語の歌がとても上手なのですが、山下達郎さんの英語にも舌を巻いてしまいます。ミュージシャンは音で勝負という、音楽に対する姿勢が一貫していて、今も変わらないところが凄いですね。山下達郎さんのアルバムはLPで何枚か所有していますが、パソコンやラジカセでの再生に便利なので、これからCDで買い揃えようと思っています。
