Review: Great Replacement for My Corelle - My Corelle dish set was chipping after 12 years and I wanted to try something different. I wanted a set that was pretty, had a specific shape, and could handle the microwave. I cook A LOT and was very picky with my choice. I have bought cheap stoneware before and they get lava hot in the microwave. These can handle reheating something without me needing oven mitts to take them out. Pretty much any stoneware retains heat, so I expected some, and these do very well. The colors are very pretty in person. I really love the flat shape with the small lip. It's perfect for things like a juicy steak. They do great in the dishwasher. Forks can leave scrape marks on the plates if you push too hard, but that doesn't bother me. They have survived being dropped by me a few times. I did accidentally clank two of them together on the edges and one cracked a little. I don't think that's an avoidable consequence of me being rough with them. The customer service was awesome. One of my plates had a blemish and they sent me a new one right away. Overall, I'm very happy with them and will probably buy more from Sango in the future.

**Q: What are the colors used? I’ve seen other pictures online where the gray in this set are replaced with bright blue, and most where it is a charcoal**
A: In my opinion, if you look up Sherwin Williams paint colors, the blue plate - Aleutian blue. The orange plate - Copper wire. The tan plate - Sandbar. The cream plate - White Dove. I ordered 1 set because I was unsure of the colors. When I received my set, I was extremely happy because they were the colors I wanted. More earthy tones and not bright, so I ordered another set. Hope this helps.

**Q: When microwaved, do the plates get hot enough to require a hot pad?**
A: I have noticed that they are great in the microwave and mostly heat the food while the bowl stays warm. I haven’t needed a towel or any pad to hold the plate or bowl after heating.

**Q: Everywhere i look... the "artist's blend" set is sold out... will they return? or are they being discontinued?**
A: Try Wayfair.  They have them too.

**Q: Is the finish more of a matte or glaze (shiny)? Hard to tell from the photos**
A: They are not matte.  They are (shiny) glazed.

Great quality. Does well against scratches. I’ve used them everyday and no signs of it. Dishwasher all the time. No chipping. Comes clean. In the microwave, it does get a bit hot but I’ve never burned myself taking a plate out. Would buy again
