Caputures beetles - Wish the animals didn't destroy it
It definitely attracts Japanese beetles and contains them. My problem is that the raccoons in the area keep tearing the bag down and open and letting them back out. I've had to go to hanging them on a very tall (84") Shepard's hook.

Too flimsy. It sags a bit and wont hold the bug bag up well. I bought Tanglefoot trap and a little 2 ½' stand hook

Works well. Good stand for the money. Seems a few inches shorter than the ones I bought 7 years ago. Oh well.

A piece of junk.
This thing is a poorly-made piece of junk. They used to sell decent shepherd's hooks for canister-style beetle traps but can't find those traps or hangers now. My husband pounded together a stake and a crosspiece to make me a better hanger because this thing was so irritating. It comes in pieces, falls apart easily, and is way too short so the bag is almost touching the ground. I threw one away and am returning the unopened one.

Poorly manufactured, impossible to assemble
This is a poorly manufactured that can't be assembled because the parts of this Made in China product don't fit. I had this ordered in the quantity of 'one'. The 3 rods simply didn't fit into any of the metal sleeves that were supposed to hold them together and I had no choice but to return it.It is possible but it is not likely that I received the only defective product in the lot. It is not likely because I had 3 rods and 3 metal sleeves to assemble together and none of the 3 rods' six ends fit inside into any of the 3 sleeves' six openings. I would not risk placing another order in the hope that I get luckier this time. I will probably make my own stands.
