Hoover Hives 8 Frame Deep Brood Box

The wood is covered with bee's wax. Seals the edges, no glue needed when assembling. Use a plastic hammer or rubber mallet when putting it together. I used the nails, but really didn't need to. Very tight fit when assembled. Took 10 to 15 minutes which included building the frames. Weather proof. I've owned two hives, with three supers since June 2021, now Nov 2021. No weather damage due to rain. Excellent product and it's very pretty. I did not paint the outside. A++ quality. I recommend you purchase. It's worth every penny. I will buy more for next year.

Having another Hoover hive I figured I'd save myself some time and order this deep assembled. That was a mistake. It arrived with numerous frames falling apart, cracks in the main body and overall a crappy assembly job using cheap staples and no glue that will ensure that this won't standup to the weight of a full comb. The seller was Galena Farms and I will be returning this immediately.

Very disappointed with this purchase. Not only are there numerous cracks, splits and knots throughout the wood, but none of the pieces fit together properly and some pieces were missing. Some sides of the boxes lacked its wax coating. Thought it might have something to do with my assembly of the same, so I purchased some additional boxes preassembled. Unfortunately, those were of even a worse quality. These boxes are both the most expensive and poorest quality I have ever purchased. I do not recommend purchasing either their assembled or unassembled boxes and frames.

As I have come to expect, my Hoover hive is of first rate quality. Well waxed. Strong. Perfect in every way. Stick with Hoover hive equipment and you can’t go wrong.FA

The media could not be loaded.  Split wood in places and somebody was doing math problems on the box before it got coated in wax. Customer service isn’t good eithe.

Upon opening the box, it was very apparent there was something broken inside. One of the frame rails were broken. The break ran the width of the box.I ordered the assembled box and it was well put together. The quality of the product was excellent and as advertised with exception of being broken. The box did not appear to be damaged.

Super fast shipping. Heavy wood. We had to titebond and scrape wax, and fill open joints, but well made and we love the wax dipped boxes. Our second order.

Not difficult to assemble, it smells wonderful. It was a tad warped but nothing we couldn't adjust with a little effort. I like the natural look. My bees are happy which makes me happy.
