Good box, great value
The box is made of solid material and is at least as substantial as the other quite expensive tail boxes I have seen and used, and the locking mechanisms seem equally well designed and convenient, so value is exceptional. The built in luggage rack of Royal Enfield 500 Trials made it easy to attach it with the quick release base plate and fittings provided, so any rack would probably do.It is probably worth looking at the illustrations of the attachment plates of various different Homcom boxes to find which configuration of holes for the bolts would suit your bike best. The four bolts themselves were longer than needed but that was better than being too short and I just cut them down a bit.Highly recommended

BROKEN ON 1ST DAY!
Don't buy it under any circumstances! First day and the key was broken inside the lock even when I was using it carefully. Poor quality and horrible materials. Don't waste your money!

You get what you pay for...
This top case is a fair copy of the Givi E460N Monokey case that I also happen to own, with some detail differences in its simplified design. The basic construction is sound enough. It opens and shuts well. The lock is a bit budget, unsurprisingly, and nowhere near as sturdy as the one in the Givi case, but although the similar-looking key is a bit thinner it works well enough once a drop of oil has been applied. The Monokey-type baseplate is easy enough to fit although the positioning options are limited. Fasteners are adequate, though the screws are longer than needed for my rack. I've substituted shorter stainless screws and nyloc nuts, but the originals are perfectly usable. The case closure works in exactly the same way as on the Givi, but the difference is that on this item it's exposed and not covered like the original. Therefore in extreme circumstances it could be forced open with a screwdriver or similar. For that reason I wouldn't leave anything of great value inside while the bike's parked.BUT... What lets this case down is not the design or construction but the finishing. There are very rough areas of moulding flash all over the inside edges and on the base, and I actually cut my hand on one particularly nasty sharp bit while putting a shopping bag in the box. I've had to do a lot of hand-finishing to smooth off the rough edges. For the very low price this isn't a bad buy, it's solid and it does what it's supposed to, but it's obviously made very quickly and cheaply with very little attention to finishing detail. Personally I wouldn't buy this item again.

Lots of luggage space
Nice big box can easily fit in my helmet and most of my protective gear. Easy to fit to bike.
