STP Pro Series Car Intake Valve Cleaner, Car Cleaner Avoids Engine Teardown and Improves Engine Performance for Cars, Truck, Motorcycle - 20 Oz

I really didn't know about the issue with fuel injected engines getting build up on the intake valves until I stumbled across it on a car forum when I was researching another problem. My car only has about 35K miles on it, but from what I was reading, you can get build up in as little as 10K miles. I was doing some other maintenance anyway, so I thought I would give this a try even though the engine was running fine. I followed the instructions on the can and it worked like a champ. The check engine light came on 2-3 times while it was spraying, but went off after a few seconds. I did a test drive around town after it was done and it seemed to run fine. The next day I went on a road trip of over 300 miles. This trip usually takes about 3/4 of a tank of gas. It only took about 5/8 of a tank. The return trip was even better using barely 1/2 tank. I'm really pleased with those results especially with gas prices the way they are. I plan to use a can of this at every other oil change because it's clearly doing something right.

During use CEL may come on which is to be expected and is mentioned on instructionsIt did function as advertised and there is real improvement in engine idle and responseHowever after 1 week all 4 Up y down stream O2 sensors are either flat line or slow response on diagnosis analysis with computer. Otherwise very easy to use this system

Really a great system. Just wish the price was lower or system reusable. Does it work?Who knows? It’s insurance just in case for GTI intake valves.

Easy to use. Not a significant performance increase but gas mileage was better. High compression direct fuel injection engine in my car.

The product showed up damaged and I was not able to return it. A complete waste of money. I’ve bought this product in the past and it works great, but don’t buy this from Amazon. The head of the unit was off the can, and the plastic piece that product comes out of the can from was pushed into the can. There was no way to jimmy rig this like other users did. I left a message with the manufacturer, but never heard back. In the past, I bought this from AutoZone and had better luck. Also, it was cheaper at Autozone.

I used this product on my Toyota van. I thought this would be better than just running fuel system cleaner or another like product. The gizmo is easy to use and basically replicates what the dealership charges 120-150 dollars for. However, result for me was not very impressive. I manually cleaned the throttle body and used a can of seafoam later with far greater effect on overall performance.

Just got it. Came in rough shape. Will try to attach some pictures. It looks like it was been on the shelf for a long time. Also, the description says 20 ounce. It is clearly a 14 ounce can.
