Very good illustrations
The best feature of this book is that the illustrations are really good. This series of silver penny books have simple textual content and are meant for easy reading. I have returned one in this series before for complete lack of detailing. But this story is perfect for this format. The story and the text will be perfect for beginning readers (level 2 readers).I bought it for my 4 yr old who should be able to read this book in around a year or so.Recommended age range 4-6 yrsP.S. - The very first line of this book starts with a grammatical error of missing an 'a' but not to worry, except for that one, the rest of the book is error free

Great format for early readers
I love the format of these books. They are very easy to handle by the first graders, the text is a very abridged and simplified version of the real tale, but it works out right for the beginner level. The book has a total of about 40 pages, one page half text in larger print and a picture page, making it easy for the kids to follow the story along. It is a great format and a great choice for building the kids' first book collection.
