Difficult read because it was written a century ago and the use of English, old fashion words, and structure is not standard today. That said, it is informative and very interesting. If you want to learn about Sir Francis Drake this will tell you. I'm enjoying it.

Sir Frances Drake
A very interesting account of Sir Francis Drake's life and career. I got the book free and like historical books, so I read it. I was surprised as I remember hearing of Sir Francis Drake but didn't know who he really was. The book doesn't try to glorify this man but seems to be a genuine account. It also gives the reader insight into the politics of the time.

Good
Drake is just a fascinating guy to read about. This text is one of three I've read. And I'd recommend it.

Poor
Reads like a story told in the pub. Hardly any dates. Few locations. No sources. English a bit pretentious. I was hoping for something more substantial.

Cool
Bon livre malgré qu'il ne ressemble pas du tout à la photo.
