We bought this to replace a now-defunct cheap toaster. It is certainly a cut above most toasters, although more expensive. It is extremely efficient and quite quick (about two minutes per two slices). Also it is very precise to operate (very little chance of burning toast). One of the best features is the lift mechanism so you can see how your toast is roasting. Copes with different sizes of slice and thicknesses very capably. Highly recommended.

It is a very smart toaster which easily takes two slices or 2 hot-cross buns (halved) at a time…. But the colour isn’t quite as expected - being more butter-coloured (instead of cream) than the picture suggested

Downsizing from the iconic Dualit Classic, wanting a smaller toaster that takes less space I stuck with the same brand. There are dozens of toasters on the market that all seem to have come out of the same factory. I have yet to find a toaster that toasts both sides to the same level of browness and this is no different. There are toasters available that do the same job for a fraction of the price but this seems well constructed and made of decent materials but the end result is still toast, cooked more on one side than the other. A switch to just use on slot and save on the electricity would be a helpful feature but I have yet to find one that does this properly.

Had mine now for approx 7 years and still going strong.Good quality, looks good.Recommend buying the sandwich cage.

As well as even toasting, this toaster copes well with the larger artisan slices - I just turn the slice around to do the other end. Nice to be able to lift and check during the toasting process.

Makes the best toast ever, nearest thing to toast made on an aga which is the best of the best.Love the pop and peek facility, can get toast to my perfect level of toasted so easily.As with all toasters it toasts one side more than other but less so than any other toaster I have owned.It also has the largest and best designed crumb tray so not a single crumb has ended up on worktop if you move toaster. Its has a much more solid feel to it as well.My friends toaster is 8 yrs old so am hoping it lasts as long as hers!

Bought to replace an old toaster that would toast the first slices ok but anything immediately after was cremated. This one takes slices from a large loaf and toasts the whole slice rather than leaving the top end undone. There is the facility to lift the slice being toasted to check progress, and lower it to continue the process. Even result every time, unless you only want one slice, where one side will be different from the other. Tells you this in the instructions. Very happy so far.
