I purchased this to have around my home shop. I occasionally find it useful to eat fasteners when breaking them loose, but I don't do it often enough to make an oxy-acetylene setup worthwhile. This worked perfectly and allowed me to break loose a few nuts that were firmly rusted in, and it got hot enough to melt the plastic slides on an old bobcat quick attach. Sadly it wasn't enough to free the pins, but neither was 4 tons of pressure from a porta-power so I don't blame the torch for that.Flame is nicely shaped and targeted, it seems to get hotter than my previous torch head, which started leaking, and its definitely safer. The only item I wish it had was the ability to lock on for an extended heating, but I get why it doesn't. Would buy again.

My told torch head clogged and I could not clear it. This was a great replacement and in lieu of pencil tip the bigger head puts out a lot more heat and worked great for breaking down and soldering 1" copper pipe. Although it has no flame adjustments you can control the heat with distance and movement. The gun style is easy to hold and handle and with a twist of the wrist the heat goes where it is needed. I like that you can lock it in the ON position for when a large amount of heated for brass items or stuck nuts.

This works great. I was looking to replace a basic torch head I got in a kit at the big box store. Easy to light, easy adjustments, with a convenient stay on feature. Worth the price.

I bought this primarily to light my cabin’s small Cubic Mini wood stove and camp fire when I don’t feel like being a Boy Scout and want a fire pronto. I used it for both this past weekend and was pleasantly surprised. It was so easy to use and in both cases I had a nice fire going in under a minute. This thing is built like a tank and it’s actually a nice looking piece of equipment. I have no problem just leaving this out when not in use.
