Update for 11/15/2024:This unit started to have trouble yesterday with a relay component going bad almost exactly 11 months after purchase. Because the part(s) are out of stock, they are completely honoring the warranty and sending us a new unit. Kudos to Wine Enthusiast who stand by their product!Original Review:Bought this for my wife who appreciates good wine. We’ve never owned something like this before, and for a Christmas gift, I did a lot of researching.Since opening her gift yesterday, it seems to be functioning quite well. The three wines I bought from the Italian winery we visited this past summer look great on the bottom.It does make a little noise when the compressor runs, but it truly is not bothersome to us at all. Like another reviewer posted, you will tend to not even notice it after a short amount of time has passed.The unit was packaged very well, and it stood upright after receiving it in our home for over a week. So turning it on after that amount of time had no issues involved. Just hoping for a good long time of use!

Only had this a few weeks but love the size and dual zone. Makes refrigerator noises; in other words, it's not whisper quiet but also not so loud that it bothers us in any way.

This item looks good and keeps temperature well, however whenever the compressor turns on there is a very loud click and when the compressor turns off there is a very loud click. The compressor cycles on every 5 minutes or so. The amount of noise produced by this device is too loud for people who have open kitchen formats or small apartments.Edit: item completely stopped working after a few weeks.customer service refundes money as was still in the retunrn window but did NOT allow me to send the refrigerator back. This thing has flammable r6000a CFC's in it and cannot be disposed of normally, therefore they place the burden of paying for disposal of the defective device on their own customers and wont accept it back

The dual-temp wine fridge looks nice, has good rack spacing, and keeps wine at serving temperature whether it is white or red.What I wasn't expecting is how gurgly it sounds when it is actively trying to cool. We've gotten used to it as somewhat of a white noise in the home now, but when people encounter it for the first time it definitely draws attention.When it isn't actively cooling, the fridge is pretty silent. The interior light helps when selecting the right bottle and provides a nice backdrop for those bottle in the "presentation" rack towards the bottom.

I've had the fridge for about 6 months. I really love the look of the outdoor which has a slightly mirrored effect. And I love the dual-zone temperature and the display rack on the bottom for 3 bottles. However, the machine has started to get noisier and noisier with each passing month. The fridge itself turns itself on and off about ever couple of minutes. So it is cycling on and off frequently. Every time it cycles, there is a click and throughout the cycle, there is a constant rattle sound with an occasional buzz-zap sound. When I first heard the buzz sound, I called the manufacturer and they told me it was normal. They even sent me a sound clip of the sound they had previously recorded as normal. But it is pretty obnoxious honestly. I like the fridge but I have low confidence that it will last based on the sounds it is making. And the sounds are so annoying that I might get rid of it anyway.

I use the cooler free standing and it looks great. Love the dual zone, great for my red & white wines.Not the quietest unit I've heard, but very acceptable. After all it is not installed in the bedroom.Great unit, worth every penny.

We've had this wine cooler for a couple of months now. Works great, top zone at 44, bottom zone at 55. Stays consistently at temperature. This unit is very quiet. I've read the reviews saying this model is loud. I can't figure that out unless they received a faulty unit. Quieter than our new refrigerator. Could not be happier with this purchase.

So happy with our new Wine Enthusiast 2 zone fridge. Fits perfectly in spot. Very sleek. Set up both zones after re-reading instructions. Working great. Thanks.
