Good quality material, not transparent. Main chest pocket has zip which is handy for stuff not falling out, quite a few pockets also. I'm a woman who's a size 18 got the 38-40. There are buttons on both sides of the hips to give more options of tightening & loads of length with the chest straps so glad I got this one rather than the cheeper ones as good fit & comfy for moving around in.
