Q: Why is this product so expensive? I found the same one for 27$ here at Amazon? Is there a difference?

I called Fishman about the cheap preamps and was told that they were counterfeits.

I haven’t used it for an acoustic bass. You should call Fishman customer service, they would have the answer.

Yes Lotette H .it is good fit my baby Taylor guitar I had put on by my hand .sound good nice fit also

It requires one but doesn't come with one. Good unit; I use it a lot.
