Slides over wood well and cuts more than one piece accurately.I wish I had purchased this a long time ago.I used the SkatePlate for cutting stair treads and risers. Using the skate plate on 4x8 plywood and dimensional lumber (such as 2x10's) was easy, accurate and fast. It sure beats handling a sheet of plywood on top of a table saw!Worked great on my worm-drive SkillSaw brand saw. The rolling resistance is lowered greatly with this product and results in an easy push.Pointer: Keep in mind that toward the end of your cut, you loose the side brace as a guide because it is ahead of your saw. So, just push your saw lightly without wafering that last 6 inches or so. Feel the slot that the blade has cut in the wood behind you and you should end with a strait finish. Practice a couple of times and you'll get it. Worked great for me. Highly recommended.

Works fantastic

I have 2 saws and this will not work on either.I have an older Makita with a bottom plate far too wide to even fit inside the shoe.I have a new Hychika cs-185c (Amazon) that will only fit in backwards leaving the adjustable guide set to the rear so no way to begin a guided cut.If I try to put the new saw in properly the hole for the blade is not there. Not being a skilled carpenter I wasted a lot of time trying to get this to work as it does glide easily.I'd give it a better rating but there was no words of caution.LaterLooking more closely at the listing the plate I bought was for a Worm drive saw... I don't remember seeing this... but could be my fault. I think if this fit it would work fine.I have not used it yet but I did use the saw itself to cut new slots in the plastic base and the widened them... a little loose in the rear but may work.

I needed to make plywood strips for a job and this product made it fast easy and accurate! I could not be more satisfied. I am glad it was as simple as it looked.

I had high hopes and expectations for this tool; alas, no joy.The assembly/instructions are at odds with the parts included in the (factory sealed, blister) package; not enough of some parts, too many of other parts, unclear identification of parts, confusing (and contradictory) text instructions, combined with unclear and obfuscated pictures.I am not brave enough to attach the sled and guide to a rapidly spinning saw blade and hope that I retain all my apendages . . . lamentable and irresponsible for a manufacturer to produce and sell such a product with potential for such risk.

They out the rolling guide way to far forward, and it had even more play than the original skilsaw rip fence, you can only use the guide 90% of the way, then it rolls off the edge along with the front wheel causing an undesirable effect, and sub par cut, I really had high hopes for this thing but it just doesnt live up to the hype whatsoever, huge let down.

The Amazon photo of compatible saws claims that my Milwaukee 2830-20 will work with this unit. I tried to make it work, but it clearly doesn't fit, and no Milwaukee saws are even listed in the manual that comes with the kit. The rear clamp does not fit the size of the Milwaukee when butted against the square edge of the SkatePlate, causing the saw to have play and move around in the unit.
