These work as needed for fermentation. My husband loves the glass weights. He has used these several times and has made pickles and sauerkraut several times. I throw all except the small pieces like the silicone ring in the dishwasher.

I felt this product was well worth the money. The packaging was very secure and it arrived promptly and without issue. You also receive a nice note from the vendor saying "I want to make sure that you are happy with your order" and contact me immediately with issues. I can't say how well it works yet, but I started one jar of cabbage to ferment. I liked the air removal pump and the weight and cap fit well. The date settingis also a nice and convenient feature.

Planted 8 varieties of peppers this year. I've been experimenting with hot sauces for a few years now. This fermentation kit worked great! The weights are perfect for keeping the peppers from making their way to the top. Everything cleans up very easily. I did have to air out the silicone seals and grommets after washing them as they retained the strong smell of the peppers. Good news is the smell went away after a week or so of leaving them sit in my garage. I'm guessing that if you are fermenting other vegetables you won't have that issue. Peppers are pretty strong. I liked the kit so much that I ordered another. The hot sauces are a huge hit with family and friends.

I gave it 4stars since one of my weights had a crack but I only noticed once I was ready to use it on my kraut so I couldnt return the product since I have no other weights. Infact I bought this set mostly for the weights so its upsetting. However I am pleased with everything aside from the crack. It's easy to use and I like how everything comes apart so you could really clean it well. I just wish the one weight didnt have the crack. I always say nothing is ever perfect in life!That being said I would probably buy this again if I needed.

I received my order quickly and I'm impressed with the nice packaging. All the lids, etc. were organized and arrived safely. There are instructions included and I'm happy with the quality of everything. It will be fun to get started on my fermented veggies!
