You get what you pay for
Product was delivered before time and in good packaging. Comes with a grind stone also for levelling. Used it to sharped 2 knives so far and results are good. However 8000 grit does not seem to be correct. Its more like 4000-5000 grit. But it does a good job and quite large for chef's knives.

It does what is intended to do in style !
It take time to get used to it. With what i have tried the knife has become sharp after uses the Stone. I guess over a period of time, you would become better.

Great product & packaging
I just received the package of my whetstone much before the expected delivery date. The packaging was very good and so are the instructions on how to make best use of the product. This shows how the company keeps the customers in mind and what matters to them. I strongly recommend the product.

Good stone for your knife
I am just using it. It works fine. I use a silicon carbide rough stone and then use this whetstone to mirror polish the edges

good for giving the final polishing touches
this stone does not sharpen a knife (it can but it would take some time) what it does do is gives you a sharper edge and helps keep your knife's razor thin edge. A bit pricey but it is imported you will need a lower grit stone before you use this.

more like - (course / medium) than - (medium / fine) grit
More course than expected almost could take a zero off their grading system, that said pretty decent stones and anti-slip stone holder is good. The knife angle holder has nice ceramic slides remove them and chuck the rest in the bin๐. If youโre really serious and have valerian steel (joke) you can do better but youโll need to spend nearly double.

My Knives Are Scary-Sharp Now!
Well, I was going to add photos, but what you see is pretty much what you get (mine came with 2 sets of silicone bases, which is nice). I accidentally slit my finger while cleaning my old Scout knife after sharpening, as it cut through the cloth with almost no effort, so keep in mind this will get your blades incredibly sharp, especially if you use a large strop with extra fine jeweler's buffing/strop compound (I opt for less than 1 micron particle size, which is similar to sharpening with a grit of 100K-200K) to get that final mirror polish razor-like edge. A strop should be your last step in sharpening, and this stone's 8,000 grit side is the perfect step before you strop. I couldn't be more satisfied with this! Slicing chicken and onions is about as effortless as slicing water now. :) This stone could EASILY compete with similar grit stones that are priced over $50; this is really an amazing level of quality for the price! Edit: If you're wondering if this can sharpen D2 tool steel, yes, it can and will! I just finished honing the edge of my KA-BAR 1281 D2 7" combat knife (used a 600 grit diamond stone at 20 degree angle, then a ceramic rod, then the 3,000 grit side of the BearMoo stone, then the 8,000 grit side, and finished with a 3"x22" leather barber strop coated with extra fine jeweler compound. I then used a 3"x22" felt strop coated with WD-40 to clean the excess particles and protect against rust. I also used a bit of microfiber cloth to wipe off the excess oil (keep in mind excess oil can attract dirt and end up negating the cleaning). I use this process with all of my blades now, and as long as you're proficient at delivering consistent strokes at the same angle, you can get your blades close to the realm of what I like to call "anime sharp," lol! Thanks again, BearMoo, for making this quality product at such an affordable price! it's a game-changer!

Great product and value for money, very satisfied.
I ordered this whetstone a few days ago, to sharpen my chisel and planing irons, I already have the 1000 and 6000 waterstone, but i felt something was missing with the end finish, thought i would give the Bear Moo -3000 /8000 a try. I was pleasantly surprised with the results, the 3000 grit filled in wonderfully between the 1000/6000 and the 8000 brought it to a mirror finish. The feedback on these stones are quiet and smooth, the sticky kinda rubber holder works well and keeps the stone in place while sharpening, I like the fact the manufacturer has marked the stone with the grit #, though I personally would have preferred the markings on both sides of the stone, and would have been nice if the stone had been a tad bit wider especially for sharpening the hand plane irons. But for the price and quality you cannot ask for more. very satisfied.
