Really fun toy rocket
This is a really fun toy rocket.I got this as a present for a 4 year old. It probably would be best for someone older, but the boy is interested in rockets.Assembly is easy. Everything you need is included, except a scissors or razor to cut some of the parts. Double sided tape for gluing the fins to the body is provided and the rest is secured with the stickers that are also included. Even a 4-year old could put this together with some help, and he had a lot of fun adding stickers for decoration later.Flying it is also easy. You put in some baking soda mixed with water. Then the citric acid goes in a little bag, so that it doesn't start the reaction until you flip the rocket back over. You put the plug in, turn the rocket so it's facing up, step back and wait. It takes maybe 30 seconds for the pressure to build up and it shoots into the air.It goes satisfyingly high, but not so high that it's a problem. I was worried it could go too high and get stuck in a tree or land on somebody's head, but it doesn't. We launched it from the middle of a soccer field with no problems. Came down about 20 feet from where we started on a day with a very light breeze. The nose is heavier and covered in foam so it lands nose down and you don't need a parachute or anything. It's immediately ready to fly again. There's enough material for about 3 flights.

Finally something to get my son off a screen!
What's as good as computer games? Building and blasting off your own rocket. This thing soars HIGH! Luckily we have easy access to our roof! :) Fun, easy to assemble and get up running in no time. We had an entire afternoon of firing this off into the atmosphere (well air above our house). So much fun for so little hassle. Very much recommend for kids as well as adults.

Good fun with adult help!
This rocket is too difficult for most kids to assemble as some placement of the adhesive backings require some precision. Took me about 10 minutes to assemble. My 5 year old did enjoy decorating the rocket with the included stickers. It included two bags of citric acid crystals and baking soda, enough for about 5 launches. Citric acid is readily available on Amazon so refills are not an issue. The rocket itself is fairly durable and seems to be made of plastic equivalent to that found in a bleach bottle. The foam rubber tip is solid and does a good job of absorbing the fall back to the ground. The fins are made of thin styrofoam so this is not a rocket that can be used for "freeplay". Kids do seem to enjoy couting down to blast off and watching the rocket travel about 40 feet high. Overall good fun that will occupy young kids for about an hour at a time. Kids will need help loading and setting the rocket and need to keep a safe distance away during launch to avoid getting hit with the rocket if it falls over.

Great rocket!
I want to leave a review as I beleive good products such as this deserves it! Just came back from a first rocket test - made 3 successful launches, none failed :).Unlike other rockets you'll get all you need and the main recepie is as simple as "just add water". Rocket's body is very sturdy and designed to fall back nose down so it want break. Nose is weighted and reinforced with rubber so the rocket jumps back on landing and the final fall is sideways but very gentle. Stabilizers are designed to be sturdy when you assemble them and its decorative stickers are very important for structural integrity (similar to how drywall works) so do not ignore them and apply them carefuly. There are plenty of room on the rocket's body to add your own stickers or paint it so get creative. Overall it seems like it was designed by a real rocket scientist :)Tips:- put as much citric acid as on the picture here on Amazon, do not fill to the top or you won't have enough for 5 launches- pretty easy to quick dry a citric acid pouch by waving it - I made 3 launches in about 45 minutes- buy more baking soda and citric acid in advance :)- start from hard surface

Only attempted once and it did not fire
Will attempt again... believe the problem started when I had difficulty pouring the water and baking soda from the bowl into a funnel the size of my thumb. Second attempt will be with an actual funnel and a gravy shaker to stir the baking soda and water together. Believe some of the citric acid spilled as I tried to hold the rocket, place the acid bag into the rocket and lock the plug in place...Confident I'll be able to submit a better review after 2nd attempt and fueling modifications are in place.

Great family project!
The media could not be loaded. Kids could NOT stop describing this project as “EPIC!” My kids are 7, 3, and 1. We had a “BLAST” launching this thing into the stratosphere (about 45 ft)...Cutting portion of project needs adult help but they were able to put stickers on, assemble fins, pour solutions and mix water by themselves. We all put safety goggles on for a memorable out of this world photo. You only get 3 launches with the amount they supply, so I would buy more baking soda and citric acid to let the fun continue.

Broken in 5 min, had a crack
Took the rocket out to start assembling it, I had bought this for my son for his birthday. The Styrofoam piece had a crack and as soon as I slid the plastic part on it snapped right off. He’s had it for five minutes and this thing already broke

Perfect for my 8 year old grandson
He loves rockets and this is perfect. Easy to use and doesn't require anything special to make it work.
